By providing this settings, it would ease up massive distribution of a package to many PullDP.
A setting similar to Concurent download on DP would be perfect!
As of now, updating a package hosted on 1000 PullDP will trigger all PullDP at the same time to update the package.
This cause high CPU and IO on the server as well as potential network load.20 votesNoted · Admindjam (Product Director, or Executive, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
The best way to control this is make a mesh of pull-DPs, and have some pull from other DPs… as opposed to all from the siteserver. That offloads network bandwidth from the siteserver
Have a Deployement Type Requirement for an Application Installed\Not Installed without creating a Global Condtion
Instead of creating a Custom Condition of an Application's Existence on specific machines before deploying an app, we could have a drop down that contains the list of already created applications in CM and select the existence or non existence of an application before deployment of said application. Constantly creating Global Conditions is a little strange to me. Thanks.2 votes
When you deploy an application with dependencies, you loose the option to uninstall it from software center. It would be nice to be able to uninstall the main app and be able to choose if the dependencies would uninstall or not.202 votes
When searching for deployments, say "May 2015", to see all of the Patch Deployments that you have recently deployed, once you double click/view status on a single one, you have to re-search for the "May 2015" deployments again. Suggest to use the Search Bar similar to the way that Explorer uses the Bread Crumbs on a search folder, so once you go back to the Deployments Tab, your original search criteria is there.27 votes
Some (MSI) applications (e.g. usually CAD software) will be configured via HKCU Registry hive, files in %appdata% or another files in user paths.
It would be nice if a new user logs on (e.g. after OSD), these settings takes place automatically.
This can already be done rudimentary via Active Setup, but not really comfortable (e.g. you have to do logging by yourself, no out of the box feedback in case of success / errors, etc).
Please integrate Active Setup or a new fully solution for that cases as a GUI / Wizard in Application Management.38 votes
Not only applications or packages/programs run in a TS would be nice to select a special deploymenttype to run. In packages with programs is it possible why not with applications and his deploymenttype.24 votes
