  1. Support Center Log File Viewer support same log files as CMTrace

The CMTrace tool is able to parse non-SCCM log files (e.g. 1E's Nomad logs) to properly pick up timestamps, process ID's etc. It would be very helpful if this could be added to the Support Center/Support Center Log File Viewer. It seems

  2. Add a command line option to Support Center to connect to a remote computer

The Support Center utility is a great addition but doesn't seem to support specifying a remote computer to connect to from the command line. This would allow it to be called automatically from scripts and other tools.

This is option is implemented for the remote control viewer by running: CmRcViewer.exe <remote-computer>

Likewise it would be great to be able to call the Support Center thus:
    ConfigMgrSupportCenter.exe <remote-computer>

  3. A more comprehensive log viewer

Please develop a log viewer that understands and parses the various log files.

Tracking down an error in Software Center often requires searching two to five different log files just to get a full picture of what the problem is and even then it's difficult to determine the root cause.

Similarly, attempting to parse the smsts.log, at times it can be split into as many as three different files. Within that file, it should be fairly trivial to group events based on task sequences, individual tasks, and task groups.

  4. Combine Azure DevOps and SCCM through the new SCCM API Provider

I would love to see resource providers in the new Rest API be able to be tied into Azure DevOps and drive Operational deployments in a similar fashion that of Azure DevOps deploys ARM Templates.
This drives consistency in SCCM, being able to deliver automation with very little infrastructure and development time. This will also become a similar process in which customers are managing azure, so processes and procedures can be replicated for SCCM management.

  5. When sending a script, show all of the devices by name instead of showing x Resources

It would be nice to display a list of devices the script was being sent to in the summary instead of the XResource(s) you get today. Just so you can double check your target.

  6. CMCH should be included

I really canā€™t understand why CMCH isnā€™t bundled with SCCM... does microsoft give us some other proper solutions to remediate client health? https://secureinfra.blog/2019/01/17/system-center-configuration-manager-client-health-toolset-to-identify-and-remediate-client-issues/

  9. CMTRACE - load blocks of file instead of whole file into memory to speed up intial loads

When opening file in CMTRACE, load portions of the log file (blocks) into memory instead of whole log so intial load is quicker and consumes less ram.

  10. Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status

Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status and configuration manager service manager.
This can be done on the Primary site but the secondary sites are not listed via the system status\component status.

  12. Activate PowerShell or Command support in boot images

Another checkbox could be added in the customization of the boot image properties to give us the choice of using a CMD prompt or PowerShell when we press the F8 key.

  14. Provide a new tool for cleaning up duplicate GUID's

Since Microsoft deprecated CCMDELCERT we no longer have a method of cleaning up duplicate GUID's. Please provide a method for us to do this.

  15. Wake on Lan feature that does not require deploying an application.

I want a simple Wake on Lan tool on the SCCM console which does not require me to initiate it as part of a application or package deployment. I want an option available on the device collection level when, after selecting the device collection, is available upon right mouse clicking the collection. Perhaps this could go in the DEPLOY selection(to save on real estate) or its own option Wake On Lan.

  16. CMTrace skip on Max Line Length

When opening logs with large line blocks if the line is too long cmtrace will halt loading the rest of the logfile. This is often scene with the smsts.log when running a USMT migration. The DirectoryListing response string is several hundred thousand lines long, and the last line displayed in the log is the line above that response.

It would be nice if CMTrace skip lines when this occurs instead of only displaying up to that point.

  18. Adopt, Integrate the most used community tools

There are a lot of great community tools/script/services out there. (Modern Driver/BIOS management, ConfigMgr Webservice ect.)

We all use them with a purpose and because its need. (Functionality is missing in Configmgr)

The MVPā€™s do a great job to support those tools but if anything at the backend changes or they stop development they may be broken.

I know you dont Need to use those tools if you dont have the knowledge to read and adjust them but thats not How it works in the real World.

  19. Fix ContentLibraryCleanupTool's inability to run in several cases

ContentLibraryCleanupTool should be updated to do the following two actions:
    1. Instead of failing when encountering non-installed pacakges, ContentLibraryCleanupTool should keep an array or list of in-progress and failed packages (anything "Not fully installed"), untarget those packages to the DP and wait until those removal messages have been processed by the DP, continue cleaning up the content library on said DP, then retarget all the packages in the array/list of packages when it is finished.
    2. Automatically double the wmi quota limit when encountering quota limit errors.

Hardening this utility in this way will alleviate the manual tediousness of fixingā€¦

  20. hashdir.exe for SCCM CB SHA256

The old version of HASHDIR.exe tool doesn't work with new version of SCCM. This could be because of SHA256 hashing of SCCM CB.
Is there any possibility to release a new version HASHDIR.exe tool for SHA256 hashed content. This would be really useful whenever SCCM admins want to perform has miss match troubleshooting ...
