  1. Show who created a deployment

A column for the creator of a deployment would be extremely helpful. With 15 admins in my environment, I have no idea who's creating deployments without digging in logs.

  2. Deployments section could include Packages and not just Applications.

Just a thought but Applications has a nice deployments section where you can easily see how the deployments have gone. Packages on the other hand doesn't have this convenience and you need to pull up reports to get some quick insight.

  4. Deployment End Time

It would be wonderful to have a deployment End Time to match the Deployment Start time for active or past deployments. This would allow a quick reference to see when deployments have started and ended.

  5. In Monitoring/Deployments filters don't stick

We have dozens of software updates going on around the clock, frequently I filter on time frames in the deployment names ( since we can't do time ranges on the filter just days we add deployment times to the names of the deployments ) and when we drill down on the deployment to look at status ( these are monthly MS patching ) and then go back to main monitoring view we have to redo the filter.

I would like to pin the current filter as the default so it stays that way until I clear the filter

  6. Improve Accuracy of Long Standing Deployment Status in the Console

Following an upgrade/recovery of my SCCM environment, older Software Update Deployments exhibited a problem where a small subset of previously patched systems started showing up as Unknown. Following a rather long diagnostic process, it appears as though these older deployments are being Evaluated as a matter of routine process, but are missing state messages on affected clients for the Enforcement or Compliance of the deployment. These software updates had been previously installed, so no new enforcement message would be sent without an addition of an update to the Update Group, and the messages previously sent in the database were notā€¦

  7. Favourite Deployments

It would be useful to be able to set "favourite" deployments, then have a Favourites section where we could quickly check the status of those deployments.
Or an overview screen which showed the status of all favourite deployments.
This would be particularly useful to make monitoring windows updates easy

  8. Deleting Multiple Failed Content from DP

Deleting Multiple Failed Content from DP.IT became tedious process to delete multiple unwanted/failed content from DP.Show Failed Sucess status of Content in DP Properties(under Administrator). This will help admin to sort out failed packages and choose it in bulk for deletion from Specific DP

  9. Include sw packages installed for client in sccm database

Include sw packages installed for any client in the database to make collections with specific sw installed or not installed, I think may be very usefull to know the status of a deployment in two or more phases.

  11. Overview status of all deployments for a single device/user

We have the ability to monitor the Status of a single deployment. It would be very helpful if we can monitor the Status of all deployments of a single device/user.

Clicking the device/user in Monitor-Ribbon it Shows all deployments which are deployed to the item and shows the current Status for each deployment. It would makes Monitoring much easier in Troubleshooting Case when a certain device/user ist effected.

  12. SCCM report in more detail (Software, OSD Deployment)

Micosoft should display the error report in more detail in the SCCM console "Deployment Monitoring". Today you usually see an error code that can have several meanings. The goal should be to analyze the logfiles directly on the SCCM console, without 3rd party Tools, CMTRACE, etc.

  13. Under Deployments

Whenever we want to open any deployment we need to see from <monitoring> & search from <deployments>

Especially which deployments start with the same name but different deployment for such scenario,

we just need to open 1 by 1 individually that is an only possibility & which just eat more time so instead of that:

If we can get a quick selection option enabled which can allow us to select deployment at once & can open up to maximum 3 limits together would make our work easier,

for eg: Just like how we get a new wizard displayed with aā€¦

  14. Task Sequences - Columb for number of deployments

When in the Configuration Manager console and looking at a folder of Task Sequences (not a specific TS), it would be handy to have a column to show the amount of deployments each TS in the view has - the same as Applications.

Our organisation constantly updates Task Sequences for deploying OS Upgrades, which are left as enabled but expired and placed in a folder named "Retired". This is to preserve the deployment information in case of future review and/or record keeping. As such, it would be handy to have a column to show the number of deployments a TSā€¦

  15. Need to enable the option to run "Client Notification" options for devices under Deployment Monitoring Status Node

Under Deployment Monitoring Status Node especially while checking a deployment status we get to see error category node and double clicking the same would provide us the list of machines under that category. We need to enable the client notifications under this just like we run client notification actions on collections or devices inside a collection.

  16. Can you put in all the fail safes when creating a deployment to all apps not just for deploying a Task Sequence?

Have the fail safe that are built in to when deploying a Task Sequence come up when setting up any deployment. Such as the check boxes when you are going over 100 targets in a collection that pops up, ect..
    Thx

  17. Add Summary Statistics to Deployment Status View

In the main Deployments tab when you select a deployment, it shows a summary of the Completion Statistics [img1]. When viewing the status of that deployment, the pie chart remains but the statistics of each status can no longer be quickly seen [img2]. One has to go into each status tab to view the numbers. -cheers

  18. Try Again button in Configuration manager Deployment monitoring

After deployment to a certain machine gets an error that can be dealt with it stays in error tab even after the error cause is fixed. It would be nice to force another try of deployment to a certain machine from Configuration manager.
i.e Deployment to PC_A fails due to insuficient disk space.
User free some space on the designated PC.
PC_A still stays in failed tab in deployment (waits for another automatical try?)
Admin sees the failed deployment for PC_A in Deployment monitoring "error' tab.
Admin click on failed deployment of PC_A and chooses 'try again' to force SCCMā€¦

  19. Clients to find closer MP, SUP, DP by network / ping latency (No Boundary Mgmt)

Current methods of ADSite, IPSUbnet, IP Ranges are for larger enterprise pose hectic admin hours and pose for slippages, impacting software, patch deployment compliance. Would it be a good idea to tell SCCM client to locate its MP, SUP, DP etc servers by ping / network latency checks so it find a closer one...this saves us with no boundary management at all... some ifs, buts which can be addressed but overal lgains overweigh them

  20. Outstanding Windows updates

Show windows updates outstanding with the computername and allow right click and install missing update.

currently its a painful and very time consuming excercise checking to see what update isn't installed, creating a collection, adding computer to collection and deploying update package.. we got over 6000 devices so can imagine the time and effort to manage monthly updates.
Kaspersky got it right but company doesn't want to pay the licensing cost
