  1. Install Behavior Message Edit

The Install Behavior tab is a great addition to SCCM. I would like to have a third option (aside from the exe name and display name) like a message box that would allow me to type instructions to end users how to gracefully close the exe if its running. For example if the application needed to be signed off of before closing, I could instruct the user, you need to sign out of Application X and close before installing.

    • The integration between APP-V and SCCM should leverage more of the APP-V scenarios of deployment.

Example: when deploying an APP-V package to a user collection as available via SCCM, the end user will have to go to the Application Catalog, look for the application and to install the APP-V package. The same scenario via APP-V will make the application available to the user in a shortcut at the start menu, when the user sees the shortcut and decides that is necessary to use that application, it simply click on the shortcut and the APP-V in the background makes the application available.
The scenario is more likely to have like a WSUS and SCCM integration, that…

      • Unicorn emoji support in the console 🦄

I think it’s time we all agreed that there aren’t enough unicorns in the console. I’d like to see support for unicorn emojis when I’m clicking around. The good unicorns for when things are going well and the evil ones for when I messed up something and it’s bad.

        • Make SCCM "Software Request" work for AAD + Intune enrolled workstations managed by SCCM

As of today, this feature is not supported.

          https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/clients/manage/cmg/plan-cloud-management-gateway

          It's a MUST HAVE !!!

Our company is moving all the AD joined computers to AADJ+Intune+SCCM and therefore, this feature is required for management of applications like Visio and Project.

          • Ability to restrict a deployment to user's primary/non-primary devices

Being able to set primary/non-primary as a requirement on a deployment rather than a deployment type would make it possible to make an application required on a user's primary devices, but available to them on other devices. Currently this requires either having two applications with different requirements, or having a device collection of users' primary devices.

            • Allow 2 sets of user experience options for deployment of application with supersedence

Consider this scenario: You have an application deployed as Available. You create a new application that supersedes the original application and deploy it as Available but with the option to automatically upgrade any superseded versions of the application.

I would like to customize the user notification options so I can select "Display in Software Center, and only show notifications for computer restarts" when it is available, but select "Display in Software Center and show all notifications" when it becomes required to upgrade a superseded version.

              • Tree searchability for whatever computers or applications are beneath it and list where they are located to/collection in

When you have multiple collections or applications in different folders it would be good to have an option to search the entire structure so you can find a missing application or computer. Sometimes they might get moved by accident into a wrong directory and can cause confusion and frustration when trying to locate them.

                • requirement not met user experience

We are working with requirement which makes sense in a lot of scenarios. But the user experience when a requirement is not met is very bad - there is only a hardcoded text "the software is not applicable to your device" displayed in the software center for the user.
So the users are for sure opening tickets at the service desk because they have no further information and we are not able to give them more information.

It would make sense to have a textbox within the requirement creation wizard to set up a custom text which is shown to…

                  • Local cache cleanup - cyclical tasks reserving space multiple times

We have a cyclical task "package" in place which is executed once a day.
Every day a new local folder is created with the content which is not the problem because the files change nearly on a daily base.
But the “old” files from the previous execution should be deleted from cache. We are wondering that there is no intelligence that SCCM agent is cleaning up obsolete package files when new sources are deployed.
So a cyclical task is unnecessary garbaging the cache and the free disk space on a client

                    • User notification for running executions

To increase the user experience it would be great to show a notification during an application execution.
So when we do required deployments or user installs/uninstalls/etc an application via IFX Appstore there should be an additional notification shown e.g as balloon tip.
Users want to see if something happens on their clients and additionally have this information in place that they are aware not to shutdown/reboot the client or unplug network cable etc..

                      • Supersede application - show if other application depends on it

If you supersede an application, there should be any kind of wizard which shows you which application depends on it:
The problem in this scenario is, that if you supersede an application which is set as dependency for others, all those applications do not show up in softwarecenter anymore.
So the "sccm admin" should be aware and get a warning when superseding applications which are set as dependencies.

                        • no application uninstall when deployment removed

When the application deployment will be removed (e.g. obsolete application but can remain on clients) the user even do not see anymore that the application is installed.
so the user even cannot uninstall it anymore and has no information about the current applications installed via SoftwareCenter on his client.
Installation Status if its installed or not should ALWAYS appear in the "installation status" tab in software center.

it would be very helpful for the overall user experience if it would be possible to use html or any kind of formatting in the localized description.
currently the description is not shown very pleasant...

When installing application with dependencies etc number of “components” is shown – It would be much more user friendly to show the dependencies etc
Only the info number of components is useless , user wants to know which !

                              • local cache validation

Before executing cached application sources from sccm, there is no further validation of the hash against server etc.

The problem is, that everyone who is familiar with sccm or does only minor research in where to find cached files, could change the setup files to whatever he wants
And those files are afterwards executed in system context.

Some users already do their testing to install services etc in system context executed by SCCM!

                                • Update dependencies / Update all dependent applications

If you have e.g. Oracle as dependency set for ~50 applications and a new version is available, you have to manually update all 50 deployment types with this new dependency version.

If you only supersede it, the main applications which are using this as a dependency do not show up in softwarecenter anymore.

There must be a possibility to have an overview of dependent applications and update all of them with one click or exclude some for certain reasons.

                                  • Manage Windows 10 Inbox App updates and language via Configuration Manager

Updating Inbox Apps or switching the language of Inbox Apps to installed Language Packs requires machines to have access to Microsoft Store. Clients in areas that do not allow any internet connection (e.g. regulatory limitation) cannot update or switch the language.
Since Microsoft is using DOD running completely in Windows 10 as a showcase, I am always wondering if all DOD machines have Microsoft Store access.
If Configuration Manager would host and update the sources for the Inbox Apps incl. language files, we could also participate from the content delivery optimizations.

                                    • Option for removing icons from applications

You can set icons for applications, even this was tweaked in the last updates, but there is still no option to remove an icon.
You won't need this option very often, but when you do, you can't...

                                      • Ability to deploy multiple applications to same collection easily

Ability to deploy multiple applications to single collection at once, like with this application http://www.vanhatalo.eu/projects/tva_SMAD/v13/ I have made.

                                        • Multiple deployment types, allow easier configuration to define requirements. Target to Collection.

When you have an application with multiple deployment types you have the option to configure and deploy in two ways. Either work through and configure complex requirements to control which deployment type is installed on a device or create multiple application. This second can end up taking considerable space on a client if each deployment is a couple of GB’s and the device required multiple configurations.

As an example: In the case of deploying multiple configurations of Office, (we have 36 different install configurations) it would be good to be able to easily configure a deployment types to a collection.…
