  1. In deployments allow us to see the primary user as a column

Allow us to see primary user of a device for a deployment. When testing features or looking into issues this would be a great help as we wouldn't have to get the computer name, copy to devices and find the primary users name if its populated.

  2. Dropdown for CMpivot collection does not exist in the console version like the standalone version.

Dropdown for CMpivot collection does not exist in the SCCM console version like the standalone version. Could that be an option like the standalone version?

  3. Change approval request behavior and allow them to be deleted

Approval requests seem to act perpetual required installs (or required uninstalls for denials), at least when using the right click "install application" through the console. It would be less problematic to just have it auto-install once and that's it. Also, it would be great of we could just delete requests instead of only being able to deny or approve.

  4. Option to change Green: Good; Red: Bad colour scheme for very common RG colour blindness

There needs to be an option to change the status colour scheme because Green: Good, Red: Bad can be a problem if you're Red-Green colour blind, which is a common form of colour blindness affecting 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women.

  5. Build collection based on installed software from asset intelligence

While reviewing software within the enterprise, inside of Asset Intelligence \ Inventoried Software, it would be very helpful to be able to either a) right click on an application title to view which machines have the application installed, or b) right click the title to create a device collection for those machines that have the app installed.

  6. Combine Resource Explorer and Properties

It would be very helpful if the Properties window of a device included all of the information in the Resource Explorer.

    Motivation:
    1. I almost never open the Properties view because it rarely contains the information I'm looking for. The Resource Explorer, on the other hand, has almost everything.
    2. Having the Resource Explorer buried under a sub-menu makes it difficult to train and convince technicians to use it in their day-to-day workflow to find information and solve problems.
    3. Since Resource Explorer is far more useful than Properties, it should be the easier of the two things to getā€¦

  7. Make it easy in the console to make collections from the tabs in Monitoring/Deployments

You are reviewing a deployment, you open the error tab.
Make it easy to add the object listed into a collection so you can work on the issue as a whole, instead of jumping around with single machines.

  8. collapsible ribbon

I would like to see a collapsing ribbon, like what's in Outlook. A lot of white space is consumed by the full ribbon, so reclaiming real estate with a collapsible ribbon would be a nice-to-have. Plus it'd be consistent with Office products...

  9. Way to view site reset progress and readiness

Site reset can be performed using setup. Progress is shown in the configmgrsetup.log.
Also site reset "occurs" after active/passive failover. However if invoked in this way there is no easy way of knowing when the process has completed and the site is ready for service.

  11. CMPivot Refresh Query

Add a refresh button for CMPivot queries so you can hit ā€œRefreshā€ or ā€œF5ā€ to get fresh query results.

If you run a query like ā€œService | where State != ā€˜Runningā€™ | where StartMode == ā€˜Autoā€™ā€ you get results. Say you waited 5 minutes and wanted to run the same query again to see if something changed. If you hit Run Query without changing the Entity, it just shows you your cached query results instead of doing a fresh run of the query. Please invent us a button to get fresh results. :)

  13. Update the console installer version properties for hotfixes & TP

Currently the version properties on the Console's install files aren't reliably the same as the version of the console that they will actually install, making them always up-to-date would make packaging the console as an application much simpler.

For example- AdminConsole.msi's version is the same as the initial console version for a release and isn't updated when hotfixes are applied, eg 2002 with and without KB4560496 list the same version, but install different console versions.
The same thing also happens on TPs, eg both 2007 and 2008's ProductVersions are 5.2010.1031.1000 but the TP2008 console is 5.2010.1043.1000.

    ConsoleSetup.exe's version does seemā€¦

  14. MVP-surface devices dashboard enhancement

it would be nice to have information about driver and not just a view of driver version, but what it means. ie. if there are more than 1 version, driver is expired, if there is only 1 new version, driver is warning (expiring soon). otherwise it is up to date.

  15. Community Hub - Support Server Operation Systems

Community is (hopefully?) a great tool, but locking it down to only being available in Windows 10 operating systems locks out a ton of admins from its features. Many organizations require the use of Jump Servers for running the Admin Console and block RPC outside of specific routes/endpoints, so they're left out of this great resource.

  16. Remove device from collection, via device properties > collections tab

In recent builds of the Management Console, when you select a device from the device list (obviously), we have been presented with additional tabs (Summary, Check client detail, Malware Details... Collections).

The collections tab is very useful to see where the client is referenced, it would be hugely beneficial if there was an ability to 'right-click' remove the client from one of the listed collections..
It would save having to navigate away from the 'devices' section, to the 'device collections' section

  17. The same right click menu for a computer when you find it via monitoring, as when finding it in a collection.

When monitoring a deployment I want to further investigate why a certain computer has got problems. Today I have to switch to Assets and Compliance and find the computer there to handle it. It would be so much faster to just right click it in Monitoring and get the same menu as in Assets and Compliance. It would also be easy to create Collections depending on the errors.

  18. Run CMPivot queries against site status/state messages

CMPivot queries are easy to learn and very powerful. It would be very useful to run CMPivot (ie Kusto) queries against site status/state messages.

  19. Multiple computer selection for "Clear Required PXE" option

Currently you can right click on a single device, or an entire device collection, to run the "Clear Required PXE deployments" option - what would be great is if we could select multiple devices within a collection and have the option available. (It's currently disabled if more than one item is selected)

  20. Add auditing for changes to Cloud Service settings

Based on observation, there does not appear to be Audit logging for changes to cloud services from the MEMCM console. For example, a change was made to firewall and virtual networks but the activity log and Status Messages Queries did not reveal any data about the change.

It would be helpful to know what and when changes were made along with who made them and possibly a section the person who made the change can add a note.

Attaching a screen of a change that was made without logging.
