  1. BUG: Nested Task Sequences do not update references to packages correctly

In CM Admin Console > Task Sequences when using nested TS the parent TS does not update package references correctly until sub-TS is re-added to the main.

  2. Speed up OSD by having ConfigMgr set High Performance power settings in WinPE and Running OS during TS

When you run a task sequence, both WinPE and the target OS by default run with a Balanced power plan. Changing this in both WinPE and the target OS can significantly speed up the task sequence. For example, when applying a large WIM file, we've seen laptops go from taking 15 minutes to apply to less than 8 minutes by adding some Run Command Line steps to change the power to High Performance.

  3. Secret task sequence variable value Exposed

We have the need to run a command line in the task sequence and leverage a secret value TS variable ADMACCTPW set with the local admin account password. Example Run Command Line "net user admin %ADMACCTPW%
The issue is in the SMSTS.log the variables are all expanded like the ProgramName = 'net user admin mynewadminpassword' InstallSoftware 7/1/2016 12:58:58 PM 4468 (0x1174)

Thereby exposing the secret value TS variable

  4. Better support of high DPI and UI scaling in the console

I know Windows 10 is bringing much better support of HiDPI, but I don't believe the console is taking advantage of those enhancements.

Most of the console renders OK on HiPDI screens, but there are many windows that are simply unusable due to improper support of scaling. The examples I've attached are from a 4K monitor at 150% (which is the default for Windows). This issue also occurs on HiPDI screens on laptops like the Dell XPS 13.

  5. Add support for using one USB Ethernet adapter with multiple computers

With many laptops and tablet devices not having wired Ethernet adapters built in, it is necessary to use USB Ethernet adapters to use OSD with these systems. However, Configuration Manager currently associates the MAC address of the adapter with the first computer it was used on, which causes issues re-using the adapter. Please add an option for the MAC of the USB Ethernet adapter to be automatically removed from Configuration Manager at the end of the OSD sequence. Only the built in wireless adapter should be associate with the device after OSD.
