    • Ability to schedule the deletion of applications in Retired State

I would like the ability to change the default 60 day time limit that deletes applications that are in a retired state. Would be great to have the ability to change that setting added under maintenance tasks.

      • Application Lifecycle Management options in Console

One of the big struggles at many companies is not putting application IN SCCM, but having a proper process to retire old applications and do regular cleanup. So it would be good to have some options to automate the process when retiring applications.

        - having the content for retired applications automatically removed from all distribution points
        - having the files/folders removed from the content source location
        - having the retired applications deleted from SCCM after the cleanup completed.

I know there are some PowerShell scripts out there and console extensions but it would be nice to have this as a…

        • Speed up OSD by having ConfigMgr set High Performance power settings in WinPE and Running OS during TS

When you run a task sequence, both WinPE and the target OS by default run with a Balanced power plan. Changing this in both WinPE and the target OS can significantly speed up the task sequence. For example, when applying a large WIM file, we've seen laptops go from taking 15 minutes to apply to less than 8 minutes by adding some Run Command Line steps to change the power to High Performance.

          • Bring back Software Center Command line arguments

In SCCM 2012 R2 you could start software center with a specific start page using then command line arguments "StartPage" and "FilterType". We relied on those when triggering software center from our internal Tools that our users were familiar with. Please bring them back again.

            • ConfigMgr SUM installs should update the date of last install in Windows Update control panel applet

When you only use ConfigMgr to install updates, the date on the Windows Update control panel applet often reflects something that is really inaccurate as ConfigMgr doesn't update it. This often leads to a very negative reaction of "I thought those darn ConfigMgr admins were updating our workstations and servers!?!" And then we have to explain that we are, but that date doesn't get changed.

Can we please just ensure that when Software Update Management installs any updates, the Windows Update control panel applet gets set to the current date?

I stole the screenshots from this thread: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b33dd5b2-64b3-476d-8fc5-232cbafced47/sccm-updates-are-installed-but-windows-update-status-wrong?forum=ConfigMgrCompliance

              And I…

              • Allow for dynamically selecting Apply Driver Packages

Allow for dynamically selecting Apply Driver Packages, pretty much like it works for normal packages (applications). This would reduce the number of hardcoded Apply Driver Package in the task sequence.

It is possible to "Install Application" in a Tasksequence. It would be nice to be able to "Uninstall Application" too.

                    • SCCM - Better Exchange Connect configuration with Exchange Online

A simple Exchange Connector installation for Exchange Online is missing.
It should be intuitive and easy like the configuration with the Exchange Server On-premise.

                      • Remote Control features and improvments

I would like to thank Microsoft to allow their customers to share new and innovative ideas and I would like to present mine from my experience as Desktop Management Engineer in my company.
Initially we were using a comparative tool called LANDesk Management Suite and on the beginning of this year we have moved to SCCM 1511, since then I had received many complains about remote control comparing to the past experience.
I really like SCCM as a whole and I think it is really good tool and really nice features and constant updates, but not the remote control.
                        I…

                        • Increase max length of Package/Program Command Line

The max is currently 260 characters for a package/program command line. This means a lot of things that could be a single powershell or cmd.exe line end up needing content for a .ps1 or .cmd file. Please increase the max to 2048-ish characters so more can get done in one line without content.

It is in Intune standalone - we just need the same feature in SCCM.

My applications are successfully installing on client devices however the Console is showing an error for the deployment in the monitoring section. The only description of the error is 'CI Version Info Timed Out'. I have tried all the workarounds found online.
                              - Deleting and recreating a package to reset the revision number
                              - Deleting deployment and recreating deployment
                              - Updating collection and redistributing content

                              • Evaluate App Requirements at App Uninstall

Consider an app with multiple deployment types using different requirement rules filtering on items such as platform (x86, x64, APP-V, etc). When the app is configured the requirement logic is evaluated and the proper deployment type executed.

Suppose that the deployment type selected was specific for x64 systems and also that the deployment type is the third deployment type in the list. Assume also that each of the three deployment types supports an uninstall command.

If the user goes into software center and manually selects to uninstall everything works as expected and the specific deployment type is removed. If, instead,…

                                  • Improve automatic SQL configuration, tuning, and maintenance of the SCCM DB & SQL Server

Current architecture around SCCM’s management of SQL configuration and maintenance is old and hard to use. It requires a lot of manual oversight, and manual SQL tasks. And the default SQL settings created by SCCM are non-optimal. SQL is a powerful beast. Rethink ways SCCM can use it better, and keep it more optimally tuned and configured. Rethink how to run maintenance and backup tasks without downtime or impact to the production sites and deployments (this especially becomes more important with features like Conditional Access, that can never really have downtime.)

                                    • Enable Download Package Content step for stand-alone media

The Download Package Content step fails when used in stand-alone media. However, during media creation, the package content specified in the Download Package Content step does get added. Despite this, the step still fails.

                                      • Application Dependency Management

Managing applications and understanding their dependencies is a significant challenge. Having the ability to understand what applications depend on system components, such as .NET or other, would be a significant benefit to ensure minimal production impact when working to upgrade an operating system or an application version. A recent example in a customers infrastructure was legacy software with dependencies on a specific version of .NET. Being able to see what these dependencies are ahead of time across the enterprise and manage them proactively would have been a huge win.

                                        • Delete multiple objects from console

It would be very great and intuitive to be able to delete multiple apps \ deployment types\ deployments \ packages \ driver packages and even folders from Console without creating custom PowerShell scripts.
Today when selecting multiple objects the delete option becomes greyed out.
