  1. Change the sort view behaviour

    When sorting any area alphabetically (or using any other criteria), the view automatically jumps to the top (or bottom). This defeats the purpose of reversing a sort. For example, if I have 2000 objects in the view, and the object I am looking for starts with a "U", it makes sense to reverse the name sort to reverse-alphabetical, however, when I do that it dumps me at the bottom, meaning now I have to scroll up through 1800 objects instead of down. Please change this so that when a sort order is called for, the view stays in the sameā€¦

  2. Create ā€œmaster-applicationsā€ and download user specific settings as a deployment type.

    I would like to see the option to have one deployment type as a base for all our customers and then add customer specific settings an other deployment type.

    Example 1:
    Adobe Acrobat XI Pro would be the default deployment type and the MST-transform file, containing user customizations and license information, downloaded based on OU-Membership or some other variable and applied during the installation.
    Example 2:
    Office 2013 ProPlus as the default deployment type and the ā€œMSPā€, containing user customizations and license information, downloaded based on OU-Membership or some other variable.

  3. Allow API integration for application approval requests

    We would like to see a feature whereby the approvals workflow for applications can be handed off to an external system. For applications which require an approval or license acquisition workflow, capture the userID of the requestor and allow for some user-defined form fields to be shown to the end user.

    For example, let's say my end users wants Visio but this requires a puchase of an individual license before they can install it. The app portal should allow capture of some user-defined fields (office location, fiscal approver, etc.) and we should be able to pass this to an externalā€¦

  4. Provide the ability to set the number of PullDP that can download at the same time.

    By providing this settings, it would ease up massive distribution of a package to many PullDP.
    A setting similar to Concurent download on DP would be perfect!

    As of now, updating a package hosted on 1000 PullDP will trigger all PullDP at the same time to update the package.
    This cause high CPU and IO on the server as well as potential network load.

  5. Multiple Primary Site Servers for Migration of Host Operating System

    Have the ability to add a second Primary Site Server to an environment running as a standalone site to allow migration from an older Operating System to the latest version e.g. Migrate your 2012 R2 SCCM server from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 by adding a second primary site server, and allowing settings, data etc. to synchronise. Then retire the old 2008 R2 server.

  6. Application Catalog - Self Service Windows 10 Upgrade via Application Catalog.

    We are testing the ability to add a Win 10 upgrade to the Application Catalog with success.

    We are able to successfully publish the Win 10 upgrade as a standard Package and simply run Setup.Exe. This has worked and we have successfully updated systems in our Lab from Win 7 to Win 10 with this method. The user clicks "Install" from the App Cat and they are presented with the standard Win 10 setup screens.

    We want to offer this as an option to our Engineers and Application developers that want to jump on to Win 10 for testing onā€¦

  7. Keep App Catalog running with Site Database server down & replica MP's in place

    To improve HA options - this was previously filed on Connect (https://connect.microsoft.com/ConfigurationManagervnext/feedback/details/1413501/keep-app-catalog-running-with-site-database-server-down-replica-mps-in-place)

    When running replica MP's policy is available on the replica MP's DB and Software Center is available and applications are able to installed even if the site server and DB is down. Great for device targeted deployments.

    However for user centric deployments that are available via the App Catalog, the users ability to install these is none existent since when the site database is down the App Catalog cannot load as it tries to connect to it and fails.

    It might be handy if the databaseā€¦

  8. Multicast on a selective basis

    I have task sequences for on-demand imaging of one machine via PXE and also for automatically imaging an entire lab of computers. Ideally, the automatic TS would acquire the image via multicast from the site DP but one-off OSD runs on a single machine would still use unicast. It would be very nice to see this option available without having to load the image twice on the DP and enable one for multicast.

    One potential option here is to use the Multicast properties to require a minimum session size before starting e.g. 2. If that size is not met then the download will fallback to Unicast/HTTP. These settings are present in the ‘Enabled Scheduled Multicast’ UI. The session size option would also require a wait of minimum 1 minute

  9. Allow compliance items to be run at logon/logoff

    Right now, Compliance Items can only be scheduled for specific time periods. It would be helpful to schedule Compliance for logoff/logon.

  10. Application Catalog should have the ability to detect the OS platforms.

    This is to avoid user install the wrong OS platforms applications and unnecessary error pop up which give wrong impression to end user and increase support costs. It should only shown up whatever is applicable similar like software center / Run Advertised Program (RAP).

  11. Possibility to change settings in Software Center

    Administrator can define the value settings such as Business Time, automatic reboot, other.

  12. Possibilty to have application catalog for server objects

    It will be nice if a server admin, have the possiblity to choose an application from the application catalog to be installed for the server (including the approval process).

  13. Allow an application to install interacively IF a user is logged on; otherwise install without interaction

    Currently, in order to allow an application to have interaction, you need to select the option to install "Only when a user is logged on". It would be better if it allowed interaction if the user is logged on, but install without interaction if NO user is logged on. When running an MSI with /qb, you want interaction because the installer may need to prompt the user to close an application. However, if no user is logged on then it doesn't matter and interaction is not necessary.

  14. Hightlight the currently installing package/application in Software Center

    When a user chooses to install a package from software center, the UI changes focus to the "Installation Status" tab, but currently installing package is often not the highlighted item. This has been very confusing for users as they think the highlighted item is the one being installed. Only after looking closer do they notice the status column.

  15. Allow changing an application's scheduled time and available or required

    With the application model we are no longer able to change the availability schedule or deadline after the application is created - or even expire it. The only way to stop a required application is to delete it, which purges the reporting data. We would like to see this changed so you are able change the deadline/avail time/or if the deployment is required or available.

  16. SCCM Task Sequence Lock

    Enable the ability to Lock a Task Sequence once it has been released, similar to the effect when a TS is locked out to a user when editing it. In a large environment with multiple SCCM admins using OSD is you be a nice feature to prevent accidental editing of production Task Sequences.

  17. Custom Error Codes for Chained Programs

    Instead of "failing" and stop running on all non-zero return codes, allow acceptable return codes to determine if the install sequence fails or continues. Example, uninstall an MSI to be sure it's not there but if it's not, generates a 1605 return, yet this is really a soft error which we currently have to use a BAT or VB script so we don't get a "failure". It should be up to the engineer to determine what is and is not a "failure". Of course, out of the box any non-zero should continue to be a failure.

  18. Have a Deployement Type Requirement for an Application Installed\Not Installed without creating a Global Condtion

    Instead of creating a Custom Condition of an Application's Existence on specific machines before deploying an app, we could have a drop down that contains the list of already created applications in CM and select the existence or non existence of an application before deployment of said application. Constantly creating Global Conditions is a little strange to me. Thanks.

  19. An improved console that merged ADUC, GPMC, and SCCM deployments/queries/collections

    Imagine a console like ADUC that let you view GPOs and AD objects alongside each other, with contextual color-tinted overlays that help you visualize where items are applied. It should also display SCCM collections, queries, and deployments.

  20. Application installs user profile

    To have the ability to install an application that requires admin rights but also requires to install data to the logged on user profile
