  1. Add an Alert that shows the state of the CMG Connection Point

    Add an Alert that shows the state of the CMG Connection Point.

    Currently, I have no automated way to tell if the CMG is healthy unless I go into the console and run the Connection analyzer.

    I'd like to see a built-in alert I can configure to notify me if the CMG service is in a non-Ready state, the Connection Point is "disconnected" or the number of "Clients online from CMG" is below a specific threshold.

  2. Translate IDs in Support Center logs

    When viewing the logs using the log viewer in the Support Centre, it shows CIs with their IDs. When you're troubleshooting something, this can be really frustrating as you have to manually translate the IDs when trying to identify things.

    Please add the ability to automatically translate the IDs in logs for CIs into their display names to improve their readability.

  3. Add methods to force new GUID generation for Clients

    Duplicate GUIDs are a real pain to deal with. Not everyone in our environment is a CM admin or has access to delete objects from the CM db so we need a way (and i'll suggest multiple) to force a client to regenerate a GUID that doesn't require coordination of activities on the endpoint and in the CM DB to make it happen.

    1 - Allow a registry value to be set that blocks the retrieval of the GUID from CM when missing from the client
    2 - Add a parameter to the RepairClient() WMI Method ... RepairClient can take…

  4. Provide logging/recording/tracking of what specific clients were removed during the "Delete Inactive Client Discovery Data" maintenance task

    Currently, there doesn't seem to be a way to determine which clients were removed during the "Delete Inactive Client Discovery Data" maintenance task. It reports on the number of inactive clients it removed but not which specific clients it removed.

  5. Show content for updates in Support Center

    Have the ability to select the Updates show in the content of a workstation and the ability to click install and to see the error if it reports back an error.

    This can currently be done for Application content but cannot be done for Updates.

    To try to get this capability just for Updates for troubleshooting/support for workstations. You have to leverage ReCast- Right Click Tools and leverage the Remote Software Center to kick off updates for install for workstations that you are troubleshooting.

  6. Better information in the Client health dashboard

    Include reasons for why something is showing as a failure or success in the client health dashboard.

    Include common fixes for each problem.

    Better documentation would also fix this problem.

  7. Trigger log collection from task sequence either automatically or via client action

    The new option in the console for Client diagnostics - Collect Log files, need to be able to trigger option from the client running a task sequence. The reason for this is when a task sequence logic encounters a error and you want to auto capture the logs, this client action will be key to automating the log captures. Also for Windows 10 Servicing where the machine runs on the Internet and capturing the logs works great over the CMG, but again just want to automate the log capture than rather manually capturing the logs.

  8. Monitoring deployments: troubleshooting Error's

    when viewing the deployments in the Monitoring section it would be handy just to be able to Add the computer name or names to a colleciton so that admins can run actions against those computers.

    Currently the old Logfile Versions are saved at <InstallDIR>\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs\

  10. Tool to find out what cause SCCM Client installation/Communication failure on Workstations

    In our environment SCCM Server installs client on discovered resource but they failed to install due to machine specific issue, could you prepare a tool which we can give it to floor support technician to run on machine which have SCCM Client issue or Installation failure, the tool should check for all prerequisites for client install also firewall issues like (WMI and File and Print sharing not allowed ) it should the issue with which it becomes easy to fix the underlying problem and get the sccm client successfully deployed

  11. Support Center Advanced Log File Viewer Advanced Filtering

    It would be great if in the new Suppert Center Advanced Log File Viewer, there would be an option for Advanced Filters, when opening a log file, the filters load automatically and we dont need to load them manually everytime we open a log.
    Same as with the other buttons, that can be activated and deactivated.

  12. Management Point Admin. It would be great to have a Management Point folder under Administration, with reports and MP health checks.

    We recently added a new MP to a trusted domain, and modified the boundaries, so client on that domain would only connect to that MP. We have no way of checking if this is working. A simple list of clients connected to which MP would be super helpful. We would be able to tell from a list which domains these clients are on and if they are connected to the correct MP. Also health info of the MPs, trolling through logs ain't fun. A quick easy look at MP health status to tell if something needs investigating.

  13. Ensure Tables v_ClientDownloadHistoryDP_BG and table ClientDownloadHistory have correct start time data with client.

    Currently the tables vClientDownloadHistoryDPBG and table ClientDownloadHistory have correct start time data with client. It does not match when a client downloads a package either from the DP our cloud DP and it's very hard to match the data. As per the escalation engineer, this is by design?

    I want you to enhance the function to rotate the following logs.
    · Function to rotate every day and manage generations

  16. Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status

    Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status and configuration manager service manager.
    This can be done on the Primary site but the secondary sites are not listed via the system status\component status.

  17. Add log file information when opening a log in CMTrace

    It would be great to see a tooltip or option in the cmtrace toolbar to get more details about a log file. For example when opening EPCtrlMgr.log I see a tooltip with the description of the log file "Records information about the syncing of malware threat information from the Endpoint Protection site system role server with the Configuration Manager database."

  18. Status Message Viewer should link to the approriate log file

    When viewing a Status Message that says "see log for details" the message shoudl provide some from of link to the correct log file(s).

  19. Software Center stand alone App

    Make Software Center available (as an App?) so that you can see exactly what is in Software Center for a remote machine. You launch the app on your technician PC, supply the machine name and user name and the Software Center shows up on the technician PC with exactly what the user sees. This would be very valuable for level 2 and service desk people to help users.

  20. Right-click options for computer in Deployment Status

    I would like to be able to right-click a computer in the Deployment Status details and have options like remote control.
