  1. Sync AAD group membership -> MEMCM

It would be great if it was possible to sync a static or dynamic security group in Azure AD to a collection in MEMCM. This would be very useful in a Co-Mgmt scenario where the user/device gets the correct CM applications according to AAD group membership.
Today it is only possible to sync collection membership from CM to an AAD group, not the other way around.

  2. Show Deployment Counts on Collections

Please add an option to include "Deployments" in the columns list for user and device collections. This would make it easier how many deployments are targeted to each collection without having to click the "Deployments" tab at the bottom for each one. Thank you!

  4. Import list of devices in CMpivot as an alternative to collections

Be able to copy a list of devices, or import from a file directly in CMPivot so not to have to query a big collections with devices you might not all want or ask admins to create a collection for your scopes each time.

  5. SSD Report

I think it would be helpful if there is a report type to show all machines with SSD under the Reporting>Hardware-Disk heading.

  6. Deploy to AAD Groups / Members of AAD groups with configman

We would like to target collections that include AAD groups, or the members of AAD groups, with deployments in ConfigMan. We have several use cases where it would be helpful to target the users or machines in AAD groups for deployments.

These machines may be hybrid joined and not enrolled in intune or they may be AAD-only joined co-managed machines. AAD group membership for our users may also be good collection criteria.

Would it be possible to have a WMI class created for gathering DirectX and WDDM versions?

When viewing devices, it would better reflect the device status if 'icon' was renamed to 'status'.

  9. Orchestration groups - Pre-script exit code behaviour

Although the Pre-Scripts of Orchestration Groups do handle exit codes 0 and 3010 well already, the addition of exit code 1 (or similar) would be very useful for intentionally failing the Pre-Script on a Single Node, then moving onto the next one.

For example: In a failover cluster, one of the hypervisors fails to drain all of its roles in the timeframe allotted by the Pre-Script (due to various reasons). The error-checking within the script would catch that and exit with error code 1 to save the resources and resumes that node. In reality, as a direct result for notā€¦

  11. Make MEMCM WOL succeed on large subnets

We have problems waking up clients with subnet directed broadcast on large subnets.

We can see that one MEMCM server can issue 6-7.000 WOL requests in one second.

Unfortunately not all targeted machines are powered on, when MEMCM issues this massive amount of WOL packages.

Network traces have shown, that all WOL packages arrives to the subnets, but many machines fails to power on.

There can be many reasons for this, UEFI config, network topology and so on, but we have found another problem, that might explain this issue.

We have tried to send a WOL package to 250 machinesā€¦

  12. Inventory and reporting on User Installed Software

There are many applications now that users can install without admin rights, including some from Microsoft (like TEAMs). They are installed in the User's profile on the machine, and there is no way for SCCM to inventory it. This is making it difficult for us to 1) identify certain applications we do NOT want on our systems, and 2) identify versions of these applications that may have problems or vulnerabilities we need to patch.

The issue is shown here in this blog:

  13. CurrentlyLogedonUser shows only 1 User

    Hi,
we manage Servers with SCCM CB and it came to my Attention that i can filter on Currently Logged on User, which on a Client is definetly 1 User but on a Server could be more than 1 user.

So i did a few selects on the SCCM DB to see if there is a view that would help me

    select Name,CurrentLogonUser,* from dbo.v_CombinedDeviceResources CDR
    where CDR.Name = ā€˜HOSTNAMEā€™

but there is only 1 ROW returned even if more users are logged on.

Maybe this view and the appropriate tables could be modified?

  14. AD cleanup with SCCM

Would be nice if SCCM was able to delete the old AD computer accounts so we don't have to do it manually if the compter name changes ou in another domain.

  15. Dynamic Collections Based on Software Update Compliance

Please add the ability to create a dynamic collection of non-compliant devices for a Software Update Group. Currently we can view reports of non-compliant devices and, in the software updates section, click on "View Required" for a specific update to see which devices still require the update. It would be useful to be able to turn this into a dynamic collection for one or more software updates or software update groups that way we can more easily and dynamically perform actions specifically on devices which are non-compliant for updates.

  18. Collection Trash Folder

We should have a collections trash folder in the case of accidental deletions of collections.

You delete a collection, it gets moved into the trash folder, where it can sit there for 30 days or so until the system automatically delets it. Collection refresh, or any deployments to it are automatically disabled. It just sits on ice for a few days then goes bye bye.

We are going through the process of cleaning up our 10K collections. Yes I know it is allot but we have ALLOT of global users. In getting it down to 8K we had a fewā€¦

  19. The WQL Query Builder should highlight, or mark indexed fields to encourage efficient query building.

Many people build inefficient queries simply because they are unaware of the indexed fields available for the views that are referenced by their query. Can the indexed fields be marked?

  20. Allow AD System Discovery ignoring boundary groups

We're setting information in AD for computer records that are then pulled by MECM for our asset management system. I've got some device collections that show me systems that are missing certain info, so I can go in and fix in AD.

I've fixed several in AD, and after days and several AD System Discovery runs, they never pull the data from AD. Apparently, this is due to the systems not being actively online (on-prem) when the discovery takes place, and System Discovery apparently checks IP/DNS against boundary groups, and if they don't have that info (they're off site andā€¦
