How can we improve Configuration Manager?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. 64-bit update for SCCM Mac client

Since Apple released the 10.13.4 update, whenever we try to install something using the SCCM client, we get an error message saying that Configuration Manager is not optimized for your Mac. I think the following page explains Apples side of this (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208436).

The current version of the Mac client (v5.00.8471.1000) that's available for download was released in December 2016. Will an update for the client be released before the next version of Mac OS comes out?

  2. Make the Mac SCCM client boundary aware

Currently the SCCM client on the Mac randomly selects a Management Point. I would like to see the capability where the SCCM client on the Mac selects the Management Point for the Boundary that the Mac is located in.

  3. Make the enrollment of Macs more automated.

Make the enrollment of Macs more automated. This could be done with a .pkg and maybe a xml or some other config file maybe enroll with AD bound macs auto. Just seems like it should be easier than putting in a server name and username and password
