Now that you have the framework for customizing, can you expand for changing the fonts chosen and the colors when selected and not selected? Out logo would be best on a white banner but then you cant see the selections when you click on each option since the select bar is white and the font is white.2 votes
Add the ability to display License Terms and Costs for Applications published in Software Center.
Having a separate call out for License Cost, Term (Quarterly, Bi-Annual, Yearly, etc.) can help employees make better informed decisions before downloading software. In addition, having this published in unique fields (outside the general Notes field) enables automation capabilities when connecting to SAM solutions as these values could then be auto-updated, etc. or used to trigger license assignment on the backend.0 votes
With the application model, I can right click an application and copy the settings. Under Packages, I cannot copy a package easily.1 vote
This issues shows for me from time to time but it seems to show mostly with available deployments and on the old Software Center. If there is only one title in the 'Installed Software' tab you generally can't select the uninstall option as it is grayed out. This seems to commonly happen when i switch to that tab but if there is multiple applications I am able to click on a different one and return to the newly installed one and 'uninstall' becomes available and when there is only one on that tab you can't 'refresh' the code to validate 'uninstall'
Also when you have an application that is already installed and the deployment does not 'install' but the detection method determines it to be already valid the uninstall option generally is not available in this situation.
I see no reason for the uninstall to even NOT be an option so my suggestion is to remove whatever code is validating the availability of the uninstall button

Allow apps to be segregated category wise when we publish apps in Software Center.
In the application catalog we had the option to highlight an app as featured app in the portal. But app catalog has got deprecated and we want it in Software Center.
1) Featured apps
2) Apps sorted per category.
It will be good if MS can add these 2 functionalities for Software Center.3 votes
After Application Catalog changed to Software Center the Link Text in Application Catalog tab is not working in Software Center anymore, it just generic Additional information link constantly. Could you fix this so the Link Text also applies to Software Center? (Tested on 1902).5 votes
Right now, the reboot behavior on clients is very inconsistent.
If you run a available deployment or a required deployment which hasn´t started over the SW-Center, no reboot is forced. The user will just get a reminder to reboot (Upper Picture).
If a required deployment runs automatically, a reboot will be forced and the timer from client settings starts to run (Lower Picture).
This behavior is very inconsistent and should get changed.
If the admin decides that a reboot is required, it should always be forced.
Or better, make this an option to the deployment of Apps, Updates etc.2 votes
Limit the number of times that a user is notified of availabl deployment. The used doesn't need to be notified at every login that they have

Make the uninstall and repair application in software center work with more than 1 deployment type. Because now the uninstall only works if 1 deploymenttype is present in the application.
The repair option only repairs the first deployment type and then stops, would be beteer that it repairs all deployment types that are in an application or the option to do so.4 votes
It would be nice to have the option to tile like in the Company Portal (categories) in the Software Center (filters). This would be of great benefit for multidisciplinary companies or even to segregate departments, giving a much better end user experience.
I'm not sure there's much use in the SC filter at present, as it defaults to load all, hence nobody would really use the dropdown to select a filtered subset. Example attached.2 votes
In the Operating Systems Tab, please add the "Link" ability to a Task Sequence. We'd like to send communications, or create Toast Notifications that can directly launch the Software Center to a specific Task Sequence Deployment.3 votes
I'd like to have the Descriptions for Task Sequences show up under the TS Name, as an option. (Check Box to enable or not)
Similar UV.. but different enough: https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/17017867-software-center-include-description-under-opera
PS.. Task Sequence Icons would be nice.. but that's a different UV.2 votes
In older versions of SCCM, you could sort on "Status", "Publisher" and "Name" in the Updates node of Software Center.
This was very helpful when installing updates - being able to sort on status in particular ("pending verification", "restart pending", "installing", etc.)
Please bring this functionality back.1 vote
When a deployment fails in Software Center, and you click the "Failed" link, it will then show an error code. Ten, we have to Google (excuse me, I mean Bing) the error code or look in CMTrace to find out what it means. Could Software Center do the same thing that CMTrace does, and look up the error and display what it means there in the Software Center window?10 votes
Add a "Select All" when you filter apps by category. This would allow our Accounting users to install ALL of the accounting apps without have to check dozens of boxes.1 vote
Please can we display the software center share url in the deployment properties of the deployment. This way if we would like to share the URL of a deployment to a user which us as the admins are not part of
We can go to the deployment tab and copy and paste the share url to the user with out having to add our computers to the deployment collection, update the collection, update policy's then get the shared url, then we email the url, then we have to remember to remove our computers from the collection.5 votes
I deploy apps through SCCM. To deploy a required app to a user that has user device affinity. This eliminates multiple installs when that user logs onto another device. I would like to be able to cerate a query rule or direct query for a collection based on a AD Group that allows me to select a user/computer and have that attached to user device affinity. Deploying applications to only those systems that the user is the primary user. This way users don't get unintended applications installed on lets say a conference room.1 vote
We use our Software Center for a LOT of apps for general user use. The general complaint I have received lately is that there are so many apps users don't know what is optional and what is recommended for our domain. I am recommending the option or change to include some of the localized description OR at the very least show the User categories for each application in all the view modes for Software Center to help users determine if they are optional or recommended software. All views already show publisher and version.7 votes
I would like an option where we can set a window of availability where the end users can postpone a reboot after an update but then is forced to reboot anyway after a certain period of time.
What I mean is that yes, the users get the Software Update Center window that allows them to customize their options but if they don't reboot within a certain period of time, it'll reboot anyway.1 vote
When deploying a custom task sequence that only contains applications and no operating system it confuses our users.
Suggest to rename Operating System tab with something else like Package Bundles. Or (after you add icon support for task sequences) have custom task sequences in the Applications tab instead of Operating Systems.1 vote
