Add License Details/Cost to Software Center
Add the ability to display License Terms and Costs for Applications published in Software Center.
Having a separate call out for License Cost, Term (Quarterly, Bi-Annual, Yearly, etc.) can help employees make better informed decisions before downloading software. In addition, having this published in unique fields (outside the general Notes field) enables automation capabilities when connecting to SAM solutions as these values could then be auto-updated, etc. or used to trigger license assignment on the backend.

Allow customization of the generic software center "critical software" toast/pop-up message
Allow the text to be customized for the hard-coded "critical software" message from software center. Many things are now customizable; but this text is still hard coded for customers.

More control of the Software Center
Give us the possibility to
a) do a fine configuration centrally of the SW Center
e.g. sorting order, list view, filters, etc.
b) keep users settings of the SW Center
e.g. list view, sorting, tabs
c) provide more detail status
e.g. why "Waiting to install" ?64 votes -
Decide if software can be visible in Software Center by model of computer or collection
At our school district we deploy testing software. We want to be able to include collections and exclude collections to what they see visible in software center without modifying the collection or having to create another collection. We set a requirement in the application, but Users still see the software and try to install it.

Software Center - Operating System More Info Shown
I'd like to have the Descriptions for Task Sequences show up under the TS Name, as an option. (Check Box to enable or not)
Similar UV.. but different enough: https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/17017867-software-center-include-description-under-opera
PS.. Task Sequence Icons would be nice.. but that's a different UV.

More Customization's for Software Center branding
We need more customization options for branding. We cannot choose a white background color as all text is white. We need greater control of options to choose both the positive and negative color of text and color of the highlight bars.

Software center shortcut language
It's not really a high priority suggestion, but it needs to be revised. The software center shortcut is in english when Windows 10 system is in FR-CA. ("Software Center" instead of "Centre Logiciel"). The configuration manager properties in the control panel is also in english, but the Software Center main panel language is in french as it should. We don't have this trouble when we are in a FR-FR Windows 10. Actually, our workaround is to create a new shortcut for the users (with softwarecenter:).

Software Center Command Line Switch Addition
Software Center Command Line Switch Addition
It is not currently possible to choose between the All and Upcoming views on the Installation status page in Software Center via command line.
We would love to have a programmatic call the Upcoming view for end users on their maintenance window day. This way, we can (forcibly but kindly) inform people of what's about to happen to their device(s).
This is what it might look like: "C:\WINDOWS\CCM\ClientUX\SCClient.exe" softwarecenter:Page=InstallationStatus FilterType=0 SortType=6 View=Upcoming" <-- The "View" switch is the addition.
P.S. Long live Banco de Gaia!

Allow localisation of "Software Center" link
Allow the start menu link for "Software Center" to be localised to the spelling "Software Centre"

Consitent reboot behaviour
Right now, the reboot behavior on clients is very inconsistent.
If you run a available deployment or a required deployment which hasn´t started over the SW-Center, no reboot is forced. The user will just get a reminder to reboot (Upper Picture). If a required deployment runs automatically, a reboot will be forced and the timer from client settings starts to run (Lower Picture).
This behavior is very inconsistent and should get changed.
If the admin decides that a reboot is required, it should always be forced.
Or better, make this an option to the deployment of Apps, Updates etc.2 votes -
Windows Store for Business icons in Software Center
Creating an online/offline install for an application from Wsfb should add the icon from the store to the application in SCCM / Software Center.
A custom icon can be added but unlike standard apps there is no way to extract the icon from the application.
Integrating the store icons would go a long way to polishing the end result for users.

Show localized descriptions for programs in all Software Center view options
We use our Software Center for a LOT of apps for general user use. The general complaint I have received lately is that there are so many apps users don't know what is optional and what is recommended for our domain. I am recommending the option or change to include some of the localized description OR at the very least show the User categories for each application in all the view modes for Software Center to help users determine if they are optional or recommended software. All views already show publisher and version.

Fix problem with Task Sequences not showing Software Center with Multiple Users logged in
When you have multiple users logged in on a Machine. Task Sequences only show for the user that first logged in.
When calling Task Sequences from PowerShell, the same behaviour is observable, only the first user can call the TSs.

Stop a Software Updates Synchronization
During a training session I misread a Lab on Software Updates. I ran the Synchronization and proceeded to download 10k+ software updates because I did not choose the specific updates I needed for the lab correctly. I had to continue to another lab while I waited for the Synchronization to complete. This is entirely my fault, but my instructor thought this would be a good idea to see if it would be possible to stop a running synchronization of Software Updates.

Make uninstall and repair work better
Make the uninstall and repair application in software center work with more than 1 deployment type. Because now the uninstall only works if 1 deploymenttype is present in the application.
The repair option only repairs the first deployment type and then stops, would be beteer that it repairs all deployment types that are in an application or the option to do so.

Software Center: Expand customization
Now that you have the framework for customizing, can you expand for changing the fonts chosen and the colors when selected and not selected? Out logo would be best on a white banner but then you cant see the selections when you click on each option since the select bar is white and the font is white.

SCCM CB 1806 - Software Center slow to load "available" user-deployed apps
In SCCM CB 1806, we're no longer leveraging the AppCatalog roles for User-deployed applications With that said, I spoke to Mark Silvey and Raghu Kethineni at MS Ignite to express some concerns around how long it takes Software Center to load (50 seconds to over 1 minute) the initial list of applications after a user launches Software Center. We have A LOT of apps we make available to users.
Is there any way to speed this up from an IIS / Management Point perspective (cmuser service authentication / lookup ? )
Or maybe perform an initial query of '50 apps'…

Software Center GUI (filters) as per Company Portal (Categories)
It would be nice to have the option to tile like in the Company Portal (categories) in the Software Center (filters). This would be of great benefit for multidisciplinary companies or even to segregate departments, giving a much better end user experience.
I'm not sure there's much use in the SC filter at present, as it defaults to load all, hence nobody would really use the dropdown to select a filtered subset. Example attached.2 votes -
Software Center Updates Node - (re)enable sorting
In older versions of SCCM, you could sort on "Status", "Publisher" and "Name" in the Updates node of Software Center.
This was very helpful when installing updates - being able to sort on status in particular ("pending verification", "restart pending", "installing", etc.)
Please bring this functionality back.

Change the way the new tag is used in software center
There is the great functionality of tagging "new" software in the software center and showing this software right at the top of all apps. Today this tag is dependent on the date the deployment has been created and or set to be available for 7 days as a global setting. It would be great to show this tag from a users perspective. This would also align to the often used concept of having a collection with the software deployed and the members get added on demand. So if a customer is ordering a software it is shown on his client…
