Software Center: Include "Description" under Operating System menu
Include "description" under Operations Systems menu in Software Center instead of Publisher as mostly we deploy Windows OS from Microsoft.

Company Portal Customization
I have a customer that, besides the new features in the Software Center, needs to use the Company Portal to all the +6000 users. The question here is the lack of customization. They want to be able to customize:
- The two pictures that appear in the Company Portal
- The color Schema for the tiles in the main page of company portal
- The Language of the App (that can be done changing the OS language).
They are making a great an d big investment in the new images to their users and are using a clean desktop with clean apps, and…

Software center - Drop down lists
I would be nice to have the possibility to add drop down list in the Software Center to allow the user to select for example witch application language he would like to install. This would be useful for large organization that have to deal with many languages.

Software Center : Tooltip with the description of the application
Currently the message that appears when a cursor is positioned over an icon (tooltip), is the "application name" in Software Center
Instead of that, i would like to see in the tooltip the "application description".1 vote -

I would like the start menu shortcut for software center on POSReady 2009 to work. We have POSReady 2009, which I believe is supported, and the start menu .lnk for the Software Center shortcut is not working due to "softwarecenter:" being the target in the shortcut. When you try to launch software center from the shortcut, we receive the following error: "Unable to open this Internet Shortcut. The protocol "softwarecenter" does not have a registered program." I don't believe there is a "softwarecenter" file type. :)

New Software Center (1511) still status “Installed software” is given as “Less than 1 MB”
New Software center (1511) still the same bug than on previous version, where size of “Installed software” is given as “Less than 1 MB”, and only changes to real value when I click on the row.
Do MS any plan/idea how to fix the issue ?
Thank you

Add a Date Modified for each app to be added as a column in Software Center installation status
Users are accustomed to seeing “Last Run Time” in RAP and it was easy to sort by that column to see apps installed by date. The “Date Modified” appears to be the “last run time” in Software Center but we have to click on each app in the Installation Status tab to see the date modified info.

Enable management of visibility of client UI notification area (system tray) ConfigMgr-specific notifications
The default per-user setting in Windows (Vista, 7, 8.x, 10) is to automatically hide notification area (i.e. SysTray) icons of all but for a few system (native to Windows) notifications. This means that Software Center and SCEP notifications are hidden from view (they are only viewable in the 'overflow' area). These notifications are essential to providing the end-user with timely information about the status of management activities on their system - yet most end-users miss them because of unfamiliarity with how these notifications are hidden - which results in a less than ideal user experience.
ConfigMgr should provide a client…

Allow user to block full day for business hour
Allow option for user to set 12am to 12am for a day in the business hour setting, currently the option available for users must include at least 4 hours system maintenance tasks per day

Allow user messaging
It would be nice to have a ability to show custom messages to inform the user that a software installation is in progress and the computer must not be restarted or disconnect from the network.
Something similar to outlook notifications.
This should be specific for each package/application; and it should be available at least at begin/end of installation (or even in case of error)1 vote -
Make "Terms and Conditions" available to all users via Software Center
and not just for Intune-Users.
Then, make it possible to make some deployments of software dependant to the acceptance.4 votes -

Software Center should have the UI to show realtime status info of client
This will help the 1st line support to gather more client information without having to contact 2nd line specialists, and possibly solve more incidents on their own.
The Software Center, when launched, should be able to read and display client status information and connectivity with server in a simplified UI, understandable to the Service Desk employees/ 1st line support.
This can include Policy evaluation status, connectivity with management point, certificate status, app-evaluation status, etc

Catalog / Software Center should be usable by the blind
Screen reading assistants can't parse the app catalog - it just says "Silverlight" over and over. This isn't acceptable - web pages need to be usable by the blind.

Hightlight the currently installing package/application in Software Center
When a user chooses to install a package from software center, the UI changes focus to the "Installation Status" tab, but currently installing package is often not the highlighted item. This has been very confusing for users as they think the highlighted item is the one being installed. Only after looking closer do they notice the status column.

Category icons - Turn software center into an App Store
Software Center now already has beautiful large icons. But it's still rather primitive. If you want to browse software by category right now you have to use the filter.
It would be great if you have the option of displaying categories and even featured apps on the main software centre page, much like what you would see in Apple's app store or Google Play store.
It would improve the experience for users immensely.

Automatic icon download in Application Catalog for known vendors
With ConfigMgr recently changing the icon size to a high resolution spec it has created a world of hurt and a manual task to create the icons again.
ConfigMgr should provide a feature that auto includes icons / logos for known vendors from a central repository. It would cut down a lot of time for admins around the world and keep the catalogue looking pretty and consistent.

Possibility to set for how long and deploy application should be ""new"
I would like the Possibility to set for how long and deploy application should be ""new" in Software Center
Today it's say every time I log on that i have I new application available in software center.
I might already have installed or don't want to install it.
Should be good that we have a setting that control this so we could set it to show 2-3 time or for 1-2 day0 votes -
software center - options section
Being able to configure the Software Center options section settings in the client settings. Example being able to specify business hours from the GUI instead of having to create CI/Baseline with PowerShell scripts....
