For remote control why does my left handed mouse not translte like other remote control tools?
I am left handed, yet when I remote control people the mouse translation is lost. I cannot find a setting nor can our SCCM admin. Why is this basic feature not availble when even the horrible Novell ZenWorks remote control can do this. Thisis a huge fail on MS part

package remote control viewer in a msi natively
Provide the remote control viewer tool in MSI format "out of the box".
This will permit to distribute this tool to people who don't require the full console ( i.e devs, Help desk, ....).
Moreover, packaging it as a standalone tool will prevent from deploying binaries manually forgetting registry keys that are mandatory to log remote control events.25 votes -
Remote Control Viewer
Add a drop down box in the remote control viewer with recent computers. Additionally, add a prompt to select a computer when starting the program.

Audit logging of Remote Control Sessions
Remote control is nice but we are unable to use in my company due to Auditing issues where the sessions cannot be logged.
Could there be a option added to SCCM to allow for logging of the Session each time remote control of a computer occurs?

Please include a feature for remote control to record remote system administration sessions in compressed video format for advanced auditing
Please include a feature for remote control to record remote system administration sessions in compressed video format for advanced auditing either in Configuration Manager 2016 or in Intune.
This is being asked in some outsourcing scenarios. Text based Logs are not sufficient in some cases.

Automatically Reconnect Remote Control Viewer After Client Restart
When providing support using remote control, and the client needs to be restarted, I have to run a ping to see when the client is back up, and then restart remote control manually after waiting for the service to become available. Ideally remote control would perform these checks automatically once the client has been disconnected, and then reconnect as soon as the client is available again.

Please intergrate CAC authentication with remote tools.
CAC card authentication via remote control doesn't work. For organizations that utilize CAC cards this would eliminate the need for utilizing username and password which is a pass the hash vulnerability.

Add source/certificate info to "Failed to decrypt cert PFX data" logging in Distmgr.log
Add a better message to distmgr.log including which certificate and site system itās having problems with.
Right now you have to guess which DP is having issues, which can be a tedious and large task if you have a lot DPs.
Jason Sandy has also suggested this to the product team earlier this year:

Integrate teamviewer in remote control
More and more products integrate teamviewer for remote control in there products like service now. SCCM should also include teamviewer in remote control to take over a system anywhere in the world over the internet also.

Stop clearing the clipboard after pasting into CM Remote Control address field.
I have noticed that the clipboard is cleared after pasting the computer name\IP into the address field. I know its a small issue but it gets tiresome to have to go back and copy the computer name every time I use the remote viewer.

Allow Remote Control on locked user sessions without prompting the user for permission
This happens on Windows 10 if a workstation is locked - remote control acts as if the locked user has an active console session and prompts for permission to take control in that locked session.
The Currently Logged On User column in 1806 is now extremely helpful for detecting these cases to force a reboot but I feel like I should be able to jump into a locked workstation if someone doesn't log out of their device.
We particularly run into this in Higher-Ed with Classrooms/Labs where students/professors won't log off after their class (or hit the power button onā¦

SCCM IP Address and DNS not updated in real time cause issues at Service Desk
As users roam from wireless to fixed networks the SCCM ip database is not updating frequently enough with the end user's IP/DNS entry.
This in turn causes frustration for service desks where they have to ask the customer to obtain their IP address manually.
Would be great if the remote control tool was able to obtain ip address to as close to real time as possible.

Check Remote Control setting regularly
When you enable Remote Control, the SCCM Agent only applies the settings once and never checks/validates the settings.
If the local Remote Control Group gets deleted/changed/corrupted, the SCCM Agent will never fix that and you cannot connect to a client.
Work arounds are a full policy reset or modify the client settings that the SCCM Agent reapplies the remote control settings.

Use IPs from Resource HW Inventory and/or Online Status for remote connection attempts
In some environments the NETBIOS name and/or the DNS record of a Systemis not resolvable (VPN, multiple NICs, ..) but the System Resource IPs and Hardware Inventory IPs are often correct. Maybe the IP from the Client Online status Table "BGB_ResStatus" can also used for RCV.
So please use additionally these IP's addresses in connection attempts for CM Remote Control Viewer and not only the NETNIOS/ FQDN from DNS lookup.6 votes -
View-only mode (by default)
We are moving from Remote Assistance (msra /offerra) to Remote Control as it's firewall-friendly but we miss the feature to connect to VIEW the remote session only without (yet) controlling the mouse and keyboard.

Please make the "Connected with" green bar smaller
When you remote control a device there is a massive green bar across the top of the screen. Its massive and should be 50% smaller as if you need to access something hidden behind it.... you can only move the bar left or right a small distance - sometimes (a lot), its not enough to get to the thing behind it.

Remote Tools Multiple IP Addresses
When devices have multiple IP address recorded in DNS this could be either obsolete records or where devices have more than one network connection (wired / wireless) it would be really useful if all available IP addresses were tried as part of the connection process.
