  1. Include verbose information with import-cmpackage cmdlet

The Import-CMPackage cmdlet does not provide much in the way of verbose output with the -verbose flag. This would be useful to identify what the cmdlet is performing in the background to determine if package already exists with the same name or not.

    Steps attempted:
    $Global:VerbosePreference = "Continue"
    $Global:DebugPreference = "Continue"
    $Global:CMPSDebugLogging = $true

    import-cmpackage -ImportFilePath "\\localhost\c$\Users\Testing\TestPkg.zip" -Verbose

Output: Verbose: Performing the operation "Import" on target "Package: ".

    • Add a cmdlet to delete (or at least disable) a Client Settings deployment (cmclientsettingsdeployment)

There is currently no cmdlet to delete or disable a deployment of Client Settings. You can create a deployment by using the Start-CMClientSettingDeployment cmdlet but there is absolutely no way of stopping, deleting, or disabling the deployment. If you run a Get-CMDeployment against a collection, it only returns all deployments except a Client Setting.

      • Allow use if DeploymentID as identifier in Set-CMPackageDeployment and Set-CMSoftwareUpdateDeployment

Set-CMPackageDeployment and Set-CMSoftwareUpdateDeployment do not allow DeploymentID as unique identifier. Instead you need to use e.g. programname and packageid.

In the case of Set-CMSoftwareUpdateDeployment this requires DeploymentName which is not even possible to retrieve from Get-CMDeployment

Please, allow DeploymentID as an option to identifying the deployment in these cmdlets.

            • Export all data option for key nodes

I would like the ability to right-click various nodes, eg packages, applications, task sequences, etc and export the data for that node to a file, eg csv which could easily be read back in via powershell. This would allow test environments to be set up quickly and might even help provide an a way to restore a production environment if all else fails...

              • Run Scripts: Add Deploy in the Scripts section in the software library

Would love to see the ability to right click on a Script in the software library and be able to select Deploy.

                • Run Script: Ability to pass collection variables

I want to run a powershell script with the new Run Script, with the ability to see the collection id, collection variables, collection members that script is being ran against. The script runs on the local system as SYSTEM so it can't reach back to SCCM to obtain this information. I know you can add credentials to allow this, but a simple GET-CMRunScriptCollectionName or GET-CMRunScriptCollectionVariables would be nice.

                  • Predeclare devices with powershell

It's could be great to add a powershell cmdlet to import devices, like Import-predeclaredDeivces -Type Android -EMEI 000000 -Description "User A"
Or by importing a CSV :
                    Import-predeclaredDeivces -Csv c:\import.csv

                    • Allow Wildcard for cmdlets Get-CMPackage and Remove-CMPackage

This would make it easier to remove multiple packages with similar names.

                      • CMPivot Eventlog is using Get-Eventlog instead of Get-WinEvent

The current 1806 implementation of CMPivot is using the cmdlet GEt-Eventlog read event log entries. The PowerShell command is:
                        $events = get-eventlog -LogName $logName -Newest 50 -ErrorAction Stop

This limits the logs to be read from to logs like Application, Security, System and only some others. On my client (Get-EventLog -List).Count has only 12 logs.

The better command would be Get-WinEvent. Where I can access all logs. The command (Get-WinEvent -ListLog *).Count returns 463 logs.

                        • Powershell 6.x support everywhere in SCCM

Explicitly being able to select the option of using PowerShell 6.x in scripts/compliance rules/task sequences would be a good future thinking feature to adopt as soon as possible.

Ideally a version option built in to SCCM like that for x32/64 OS, but for PS 5.1/6.x would make this interesting.

                          • Run Scripts: Create Collection based off of results

The scripts feature provides a powerful feature to provide real time information on an enterprise, that hardware inventory may not provide. It would be very helpful if you could create a collection based on the results of Script, or add the machines to an existing collection natively through the CM Console.

                            • Run Scripts: Ability to run unapproved scripts on a test collection

The "run script" feature is fantastic, but somewhat clunky when multiple lower level admins are adding scripts, as they can't be tested before approval.

It would be great if we could designate a "development" collection for running scripts that have not been approved yet.

                                • Run Scripts: Allow parameters to be marked as passwords so it's hidden when entering

Run Scripts: Allow parameters to be marked as passwords, so scripts can be executed by passing on passwords but the password isn't displayed while being typed.

Real life example: Using PowerShell scripts to run Deep Freeze tasks such as freezing or thawing computer. The Deep Freeze command line tool requires entering the passwords to be able to execute the commands.

                                    • Allow Deadline with Start-CMApplicationDeployment using UpdateSupersedence

When using the PoSh Cmdlet Start-CMApplicationDeployment with Parameter -UpdateSupersedence et to $true the DeadlineDateTime Parameter it ignored if the Application is deployed as Available - I actually states it in a Warning as well.
But with UpdateSupersedence set to true we need the Deadline Parameter again, to not enforce the updates immediately.

                                      • set-cmcollection does not terminate on name collisions with errors in -errorvariable and doesn't seem to work with try/catch

If we could get this functionality it would go a long way in automating collection management.

                                        • MVP - DCR wanted for server groups

My customer has +_ 600 maintenance windows using the server grouping feature .

Feature Request Nr1 : They use the node drain / node resume feature with PowerShell. They are still modifying and changing the script almost every week . That script is used for those 600 collections :

                                          a) a central repository/place to enter the script details and be able to reuse that for each server group collection like for power management custom templates .
                                          b) If they make a change in the “central” PowerShell repository , it keeps history ( Like application revisions ) and replaces that automatically…
