  1. To be able to search a computer using Mac address Or searching computers which have specific memory available in the devices collection

To be able to search for computer / device which binds to a specific Mac address or to search the Mac address of a computer by typing the computer name in the preview pane rather than doing a query.

If we type a computer name in the search it could show the Mac address of the system or vice versa (without being able to put it in a query) and be able to delete the resource from there if needed.

It can take more time to show all the properties but there are software's which show the details of aā€¦

  2. Collection specific maintenance windows

Maintenance windows should apply to the collection, not the device, and only deployments made to a collection should abide by the maintenance window. Allowing devices to use maintenance windows assigned to other collections outside of what is deployed to the specific collection is cause for issue, especially in a 24 hour operation like a hospital where downtime can affect patient lives. Hope this makes sense

  3. Create subnet Id collections from discovery

Ranges are bad, so why is that the only type of collection created from discovery?

  4. System up time column in Device Collection View

Would be great if we could see the system boot time or how long the system has been up in the collection views. Hopefully this info could be gathered via the mechanism that is getting the current logged on user. An example where it would be useful is just after patching to confirm the devices have restarted.

  5. add selected items to existing device collection - Acknowledgment window

When using "add selected items to existing device collection" option from a device , no confirmation or acknowledge window is shown.

It would be great to display a pop up window with information like "machine added to XYZ collection

  7. Server Groups - Non Clustered Servers

Can we increase the functionality of the Server Groups feature on collections to allow us to control non-clustred servers

For example, when patching I have a collection for Hyper-V hosts, but want to ensure that onyl one Host is down at any one time, and not all of them at once!

  8. Choose subfolder when creating a new collection from the right-click menu

When you use the right click menu to add a user or device to a new collection (which opens the wizard to create a new collection), it defaults to the root collection node. We manage our collections with multiple folders and sub-folders, and it would make management easier if we could change the location where the new collection will be created instead of tracking it down after creation and manually moving it to the desired location.

  9. Add operating system architecture as column to Device Collection

Add operating system architecture as column to Device Collection to have a better overview during Windows 10 rollout from x86 to x64.

  10. Assets and compliance

In the Devices area can a column for the primary users email address from Active Directory or AAD be added and perhaps optionlly be able to add other AD or AAD user attributes.

  12. Collection alerts based on membership change

It would be nice if we could alert on any sort of collection membership change, whether it be a new device is added to the collection or if one is removed.

  13. View Collection Dependencies

It would be really nice to be able to see a list of the collections that are limited to a specific collection with a tab on the properties of that collection.

  14. Delete Collection UI Issue

When an administrative user who does not have permission to delete resources tries to delete a collection, the confirmation UI displayed reads as though the resources WILL be deleted due to the missing checkbox. Perhaps changing the UI so that the checkbox is there but grey'd out as unchecked or remove the "Delete each collection member from the database" text.

  16. Maintenance window start date regression in 1606 - year 1970

We have a 5-minute, non-recurring maintenance window starting 1/1/1970 1:00 AM configured on several critical device collections to prevent reboots due to accidentally-configured deployments - and this worked as of SCCM 1511. In 1606 though, when I try to edit that maintenance window, I receive an un-handled ArgumentOutOfRangeException (Value should be between 'MinDate' and 'MaxDate').

Creating a new maintenance window starting 1/1/1971 1:00 AM (the UI won't even allow you to set 1970, it'll just flip it back to the previous value) and deleting the older one works, but this is certainly a bug. I don't know yet if otherā€¦
