  1. Quick & Easy way to find all collections with server group setting enabled

In my environment somehow one of our collections had the checkbox for "All devices are part of the same server group" checked (this may be a bug altogether). It was on a workstation collection which prevented those machines from getting updates due to a "Wait on Lock" status. I had to manually click through the collections to find which collection had this setting enabled to clear the lock. It would be helpful to have a quick way to query all collections that have this setting enabled, just in case the admin doesn't know which collection had it enabled.

  2. Provide some Reporting of some kind to ascertain which clients are "Currently Internet"

Currently there is no reporting or way of creating a collection that targets IBCM Clients. It would be really nice if we could do reporting on how many users are connected via Internet.

  3. Trigger install of advertised software when adding to device collection

It would be great when adding a single or multiple PC's to a device collection, that there could be an additional option under add Selected items: "add selected items to existing device collection and trigger machine policy and application deployment action." Maybe you could make it less wordy... but it would make some of our lives even more streamlined! Love RCT, but this could eliminate an extra step. Aint no body got time to wait for client policies :) Thanks!

  4. Removal of 'Update flag' in the collections' properties should work

To remove the 'Update' flag within the property window of a collection isn't enough to stop the update. You need to set the schedule to 'none'. --> To remove the Update Flag should be enough.

  6. An option to prevent collections from being accidently deleted, like AD ou's.

An option to prevent collections from being accidently deleted, like AD ou's. It is still to easy to remove a collection. (yes, i am experienced.)

  7. Ability to run a collection sync automatically after a the limiting collection sync

As it is possible to run ADRs after running a SUP sync, it should be possible to do it with collections.

E.g.: you have a collection named "Workstations" and a collection named "Workstations | Windows 10". Instead of planning your schedule to sync first the "Workstations" and only after the "Workstations | Windows 10", there should be an option like "Run sync after sync of limiting collection". This assures that the collection gets updates after the first one is correctly updated.

  8. SCCM Device Collection Query Rule Check

When creating or modifying a device collection using a query rule can SCCM include an option to provide an output of the results before applying. Maybe it could open in Monitoring > Queries to show the results and then once verified the Apply button can be clicked. This could prevent a mis-configured query resulting in deployments to devices that were added inadvertently. It could also reduce a step from having to create an actual query and then importing that query.

  9. More granular monthly maintenance windows

Monthly maintenance windows currently can be defined as a day of week occurrence relative to the first day of the month e.g. Second Thursday. However our business would like to define these windows in a different way relative to a specific day of week occurrence. This can be described in two different wordings that give the same result.
Assume two maintenace windows occurring on September 27 2019 and October 4 2019, they can be described as:
    - Friday after the 4th Tuesday & Friday after the 5th Tuesday.
    OR
    - 1st Friday after 4th Tuesday & 2nd Friday after 4th…

  10. Exclude selected items to Existing Device collection

When we right click the collection, we can see Add selected items option where we can add the collection to existing collection or new collection. Also, we would like to have an option to Exclude the selected collection to existing collections

  11. Fix include membership rules so that they properly automatically replicate collection membership changes based on incremental updates

As we discovered via premier call (ticket #:16602356). If you use an include or exclude collection rule it is supposed to automatically update the collection membership of the including collection if the included collection membership changes.

It does this properly if your included collection membership changes due to direct memberships or queries if using a full collection schedule. It also works if you trigger a manual collection update of the included collection or the including collection.

However it does NOT work if your included collection uses solely incremental collection updating. The included collection membership changes itself just fine, however the…

  12. When creating new collection disable scheduled membership update by default

Today, when creating new collection the scheduled membership update is set to every 7 days by Default without any user interaction.
IMHO it would be better to keep this schedule setting disabled by Default and let the user decide if it should be actiavted or not.
This might prevent performance issues caused by too many scheduled and unnecessary membership updates.

  13. Include Right Click Option to delete from multiple Roles

When right clicking a Device Collection or just a Computer Name in SCCM can you add the option of deleting not just from the SCCM Console but from AD and WSUS? One click option to delete from all 3 areas at the same time? This would help alot managing assets and cleanup.

  15. Phased deployments - Parent/Limiting and Child Collections

When creating a phased deployment, I would like to define a parent collection (for example, “All Win7” workstations) that will serve as a limiting collection for the collections defined on each phase. This would allow me to create collections for each phase (like rings; for example: Canary, Pilot, Production) that could be used across various phased deployments.

That way, if I target a Windows 10 Upgrade TS to my “All Win7” collection, with phases targeting the Canary, Pilot, and Production collections, it would go like this:
    - PCs in the Canary collection that are also in All Win7
    - PCs…

  16. Collection removes members after some time specified automatically

Clients stored in a (temporarily) collection by a direct rule remain there until someone takes care if this is still needed. In my case this is done for packages which fix some issues and need to run only once on each defined client. Yes, this can be done by compliance settings or a query but it is easier for support staff picking a client and place it into a collection that fixes something a user is complaining about in a service ticket.
So the wish is, that the collection clears (not deletes) itself after a specified time.

    You may have…

  17. Protect Custom Collections from High-Risk Deployments

It would be nice to be able to protect collections from High-Risk Deployments in the same way that the built-in collections, such as All Systems collection is. Perhaps, a tick box on General or Deployments tab?

For example: if I have default size of 100 for hiding collections from high risk deployments, I also have smaller collections of critical systems with less than 100 members that I want protected from high-risk task sequences.

I would be nice if in the Devices view there was an option to display the currently logged on user and the IP of the device so that I would not have to run a query all the time to get that information.

  19. Temporary Collections

Create a new Collection class called "Temporary Collections". When you choose to create a temporary collection, you would be presented with a field to specify the date and time the collection will automatically be deleted. This would be useful for one-time deployments or point in time usage collections. There would need to be logic to prevent other non-temporary collections from using these as limiting, excludes, or includes, but ultimately this would assist greatly in large enterprises and collection creep.
