  1. Changes only in case not understood while renaming collections

Minor bug and easy to work around, just thought I'd point it out:

    Original collection name: "Foo Bar"

    Action: Rename to "Foo BAR"
    Expected result: "Foo BAR"
Actual result: "Foo Bar" (no change)

Action: Rename to "Foo Bar Baz"
    Action: Rename to "Foo BAR"
    Actual result: "Foo BAR"

Basically, if you rename a collection and change only the case, SCCM doesn't "get the memo" ;).

  3. Easier access to collection query editing

It would be really nice if I could get to edit the query on a collection with just one click, rather than having make 7 clicks. Even if it was just available from the Right Click menu that would be a huge improvement.

  5. v_gs_environment AND variablevalue0

SCCM SQL View vGSEnvironment.VariableValue0 is a 255 length nvarchar.

We inventory PATH variables with this. 255 is not long enough to grab the entire value. Can this be increased?

  6. Direct Rule - View Server's FQDN

When adding a server by name to a collection via the Add Rule, Direct Rule, it would be great to see the server's FQDN. When two or more servers share the same name but are in different domains, it's a luck of the draw as to which one gets picked. Thanks!

  8. When Creating a Deployment, Allow the Collection Search to Include Site-Wide, not Just the Root

Currently when we create a deployment it asks for the collection. When we browse for the collection defaults to the root. I would like it to do a site-wide search for the collection as we start to type. This will save a lot of time rather than searching through all folders.

  9. "Primary User" or "Last Logged on User" in the NON SERVER COLLECTION?!

Right now while your looking at any collection there no way to add a drop down for "last logged on user" or "primary user"

IF you check the properties for individual devices you can get this info. Its very frustrating we cannot see this info in the console page!

PLEASE let me know if there is any workaround or if you can add this - Ive literally seen 10's if not 100's of forum threads asking for this exact same thing to be added!!!!!

  10. Make it possible to copy a single collection multiple times, instead of just once per click.

When building out collections for whatever reason, you can presently only copy a collection by right-clicking and hitting copy, which creates a single copy of the collection. If you need, for example, 21 copies of the same collection, you have to go through that process 21 times. It'd be nice if there was an option in the context menu to select how many copies to make.

  11. Collections Set to incremental (Report)

With MS recommended that no more then 200 collections are set to incremental, I would like to see a report on \Assets and Compliance\ Overview\ page that shows how many collections you have, how many are full update, how many are incremental, and how many are manual.

  12. Send E-mail directly to people in collections

It is often during patching and upgrading, wanted to send a Notification mail to People in a special build Collection. This would simplify operations, and prevent a lot of extra incidents during maintenance.

  13. Limiting Collection Notification

When a device is added to a collection but is not a member of the limiting collection(s), there should be a prompt that notifies the user of this and what collection(s) the device needs to be a member of first.

  14. Add a security property to restrict users from enabling incremental updates on collections.

A property within security roles needs to be made available for assignment which restricts users from enabling incremental updates.

  17. Allow using SMS_R_USER and SMS_R_SYSTEM together when making query-based collections.

If you try to write a query to generate a collection that attempts to cross reference objects between the SMSRUSER & SMSRSYSTEM databases, you will get an error.

This prevents you from being able to create a collection of systems based on the last user that logged onto a machine. It's also just frustrating.

  18. Leave Filtering on Collections when you leave the collection.

When you filter a collection (example: Device Online Status), then move off of that collection to look at something else in the console, when you go back to that collection the filter is removed. I would like the filter to stay on the collection until I decide to remove it. That way I don't have to wait for a collection to load just to filter it again.
