  1. DELETE DEVICE FROM MULTIPLE COLLECTIONS

You can click on the device and select to list all included collections. Also, select to exclude this device from all collections shown.

  2. Protect Custom Collections from High-Risk Deployments

It would be nice to be able to protect collections from High-Risk Deployments in the same way that the built-in collections, such as All Systems collection is. Perhaps, a tick box on General or Deployments tab?

For example: if I have default size of 100 for hiding collections from high risk deployments, I also have smaller collections of critical systems with less than 100 members that I want protected from high-risk task sequences.

  3. Temporary Collections

Create a new Collection class called "Temporary Collections". When you choose to create a temporary collection, you would be presented with a field to specify the date and time the collection will automatically be deleted. This would be useful for one-time deployments or point in time usage collections. There would need to be logic to prevent other non-temporary collections from using these as limiting, excludes, or includes, but ultimately this would assist greatly in large enterprises and collection creep.

  4. Add "Exclude" option to Context menu

For example, I have a query that populates a device collection based on certain things.
This can be valid for a user collection based on department.
However, if I want to exclude just a couple of computers or users, maybe it would make sense to view all the members of the collection, right click on the ones I want excluded and then "Exclude" them, instead of adding exclusions one at a time or different workarounds.

  5. Trigger install of advertised software when adding to device collection

It would be great when adding a single or multiple PC's to a device collection, that there could be an additional option under add Selected items: "add selected items to existing device collection and trigger machine policy and application deployment action." Maybe you could make it less wordy... but it would make some of our lives even more streamlined! Love RCT, but this could eliminate an extra step. Aint no body got time to wait for client policies :) Thanks!

  6. Add OS bitness / Architecture (x64 or x86) column to device collection view in the console

You can display the operating system name but not the bitness. Please add a column for OS bitness / Architecture (x64 or x86) to device collection view in the console

  7. Leave Filtering on Collections when you leave the collection.

When you filter a collection (example: Device Online Status), then move off of that collection to look at something else in the console, when you go back to that collection the filter is removed. I would like the filter to stay on the collection until I decide to remove it. That way I don't have to wait for a collection to load just to filter it again.

  8. Create collections per deployment results

It will be very suitable if new collections could be created per deployment results, e.g. create collection based on "failed" status in deployment

  9. maintenace window

Inverted maintenance windows / blackout windows

Allow maintenance window style configuration to say when any deployment CANNOT run which will take priority over a maintenance window.

  10. Create a collection from search results

When you create a search, for instance within a collection, it would be great if you had the option to save that search/criteria as a new collection. I know you can save the search itself to run again, but sometimes you may need this to be a collection for deployments or something.

  11. free disk space percent available in WQL

Please create a field and store the free disk as a percentage of the volume size that can be used as a collection query. This will be helpful when trying to find systems that are at risk. With so many types of computer and so many sizes of hard drives, a static amount of disk space available isn't always as telling as a percent can sometimes be.

The main reason for the ask is we're considering peer cache and want a way to "disable" peer cache if the percent of disk space falls below "x" percent and there doesn't seemā€¦

  12. Ignore Referenced Collection Rules when Deleting

When deleting a collection that is included or excluded in another collection, you must first remove that rule manually from the other collection(s).

Please add the ability to automatically remove those rules with a prompt, similar to how deleting a collection will automatically delete any existing deployments (with a confirm prompt).

  13. Direct Add over-ride Excluded Collection

    Direct Add over-ride Excluded Collection

Once an exclusion collection is added it would be nice if we could do a direct add that would over-ride the exclusion for those instances where THAT lone object still needs to be in a specific collection that is excluded, but also needs to be INCLUDED directly.

  14. Warning message for high-impact collection changes

When I started working with SCCM years ago I was told that you're not really an SCCM admin until you accidently deployed MS Office to the whole company. Through my years of working with SCCM I've seen many people update a collection not knowing that there was a mandatory deployment attached which resulted in the deployment getting sent to systems that were not intended.
I would like to see a check/notification box added when a query based collection is updated that reminds you of the required deployments attached. This message will only show if an unexpired required advertisement is stillā€¦

  15. Delete Multiple deployments on a collection

You can click on a Task Sequence Deployment and Delete all deployments listed, but if a Collection has multiple different deployments you can only delete 1 at a time. Not sure if this is a safety feature or not to prevent you from deleting deployments you want to keep.

  16. Server Groups - Run As Option

There are times when the drain and resume scripts may need to run as an account other than the local system account of the server. We often support "clustered" servers that rely on a clustering method or data outside of Windows fail-over clustering (Exchange being a good example, but not the only use-case).
It would be nice to specify a run-as account for these scripts in order to reach out to external systems using a service account in order to authenticate to those systems for any required health checks prior to patching (drain script) or after patching (resume script). Weā€¦

  17. Server Groups - Increase Length of Drain and Resume Scripts

The drain and resume scripts are currently limited to 512 characters each. I know there is currently a request to add native cluster aware patching support, but it would be a great start to simply increase the size limit of the scripts. It doesn't seem like there is a safe way to "drain" a server from a cluster to prep it for patching in a mere 512 characters, especially considering that we have to use up some of those characters to return the correct exit code.

We can run some pretty complex and lengthy scripts in configuration items and baselines,ā€¦

  19. task sequence media copy variables from Collection

When creating Stand Alone task sequence Media it would be very nice to be able to select an existing SCCM collection and copy over the collection variables. This way you do not have to manually type over each collection variable Name and value from the collection to the task sequence media wizard.

  20. The ability to do a top down search on all collections.

Search collections from the top down. It would be great to have the ability to search for collections anywhere in the top of the tree down. If you have multiple collections it would be so easy to have a search all function at the top in device collections to search all
