  1. Control Software Inventory Throttling in Client Settings

Add the ability to control software inventory throttling to the client settings, in order to let admins decide to turn off throttling (without compiling a MOF).

    • Implement a software installation/Uninstallation notification

I am looking for an option to get noticed when any software installed/Uninstalled from users workstation. We are frequently getting a request for this feature from customer side.

      • Ability to utilise Azure Traffic Manager with Cloud Management Gateway & Cloud DPs

I've dabbled with the deployment of Cloud management gateways, and Cloud DP's and one thing that I observed is that when you create the CMG or CDP you are specifying a region to deploy where you want the resource to be located (east US, West Europe, etc)..
As someone who manages SCCM endpoints at a global level, trying to deploy resources to handle staff to operate across multiple geographic locations (US, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand) you can imagine that I need a lot of Cloud resources to keep traffic local to the endpoints.
It would be fantastic if there…

        • user device affinity exceptions

When configuring automatic user device affinity it would be helpful to be able to include exceptions for things like system accounts and IT admins.

          • Add "Client Notification" options for devices (and not just device collections)

Today we can run client notification actions on collections or devices inside a collection.
usually when we search for a specific device we do it from "Devices".
It would only make sense to have these options from "Devices" as well and not just by go and browse in "All Systems" or so

            • Add hardware inventory information to Devices view as selectable column

Make information from hardware inventory a selectable column in the Devices overview list.
              IS-Situation:
The selectable column list is limited and does not include some very useful information.
              SHOULD-Situation:
We should be able to select all inventoried fiels as a selectable column.
Use cases for us would be:
              - Show Operation System "pretty" value (at the moment, there is NT Workstation X.Y, but we want "Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 1709").
              - Show serial number of the OEM.
              - Show device model of OEM.
              - etc.

                • Allow adding a client to multiple collections (right click) instead of having to add to a single collection at a time

Currently you can right click on a device and choose to add selected item to a (new or) existing device collection. It would be very handy to be able to browse for and select multiple collections where a device needs (for example) app a, app b, not app c, but also app d and app e.

                  • GUI frontend for editing Configuration.mof

ConfigMgr 2012 replaced sms_def.mof with a GUI editor. It would be nice to have a frontend for editing the Configuration.mof as well.

In the SCCM console: I like to see the primary user in the devices overview, Or I like to see the primary device in the user overview.

                      • Add InventoryLog to replication

Add InventoryLog to replication in a hierarchy. This would allow the ability to query the table from the CAS.

                        • Compliance tab in device view

It would be great to have a tab with compliance/deployment status for a selected device.
Today we can see deployments when viewing properties of a device, but no status.
Having a tab next to the Summary tab, which displays deployments and the status of these on the selected device, would make it easy to see if a given device has installed all of its deployments.

                          • Reverse how automatic software metering rules are created. It is backward.

The "Automatically create disabled metering rules" in Software Metering Properties should be "Specify the percentage of computers WITHOUT the software" rather than "Specify the percentage of computers that have the software".

Because of the way corporations license software we don't care about metering the items that 70% or more of the company has on their machines (the way the rules are currently set up to be created) we care about the software that is used on 60% or less of the computers.

The current calculation method for automatically creating software metering rules just clutters it up with rules for things…

                            • Restore AMT Un-provision Operation or Provide Access to AMT Admin Account Passwords

When 1511 upgrade is implemented on a site, administrators lose all access to AMT management of systems that were provisioned in SCCM. The documentation about whats changed in 1511 (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt622084.aspx) is incorrect in two ways:

                              1. The documentation states "AMT-based computers remain fully managed when you use the Intel SCS Add-on for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager", when it should state "Newly provisioned AMT-based computers remain fully managed when you use the Intel SCS Add-on for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager". Any systems provisioned via SCCM become effectively un-manageable when upgrading to 1511.

                              2. There is no recommendation…

                              • Cleanup Task only for Ressources with Decommisioned=1

Actually the Maintanance Task "Delete Ages Ressources" deletes all old ressources, whatever they are really deleted or they are only inactive for a specific time. There are no Option to clean up ressoures only in the DB which are really deleted (Decomissioned=1). If a Company has a large amount of deleted ressources in a short time, but also a lot of inactive ressoures, they cannot effective cleamup the SCCM DB.

                                    • Make configuration.mof changes and restores from backup more robust

Currently, changes to configuration.mof appear to be read in based on the timestamp of the file.

This means that if you restore configuration.mof from a backup, it will not be re-read into the database because the timestamp is older.

Recently I had to force a re-read of a backup of configuration.mof by making a trivial change to a comment in the file so that the timestamp was changed and thus hardware inventory would again run on my clients.

It would seem that perhaps a checksum of the file compared to a file that was read in previously would resolve this…

                                      • Virtual Environments - User and Machine targeted members

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems you can't mix a an SCCM/App-V 5 Virtual Environment with Machine and User targeted apps.
e.g. Adobe Reader DC must be machine targeted and I'm trying to deploy User targeted plugins as they are licensed.
You can achieve this with App-V 5 Connection Groups.
BIG BIG failing if this is the case..

                                        • Tag Devices No Longer in Active Directory

It would be nice to have a pre-built collection that puts devices found in SCCM that do not have a corresponding object in Active Directory. We could then delete those objects on a cycle or as needed. This will help keep our SCCM inventory more closely resemble Active Directory and keep it clean.
