  1. Install Behavior not met not shown as Error in Monitoring

The ability to use Install Behavior for Applications that an Executable must be closed is great.
But in Monitoring the Application Deployment shows as an Error if the Executable was running when the Application tried to install itself. In the Error Description it states “One or more processes are running and prevent enforcement action”
Why can’t it be shown under Requirements Not Met or a new Category but not as an Error? I don’t see it as an error and so a lot of Deployments show tons of Errors, that are not Errors, only because the Application is waiting for…

  3. Install Behavior prompt not showing in front of Software Center

When using the "Install Behavior" options on a deployment type for an application, the prompt to close the applications does not come to the front of the software center and to the center of the end users attention, please can you fix this?

  4. MVP-Microsoft Edge Management

The Microsoft Edge Management - create app, should allow the following:
1- add option for the folder creation, not everyone wants to have the version as separated folder
2- add option to add version to the app name
3- software center should be populated, including icon
4- uninstall program should be filled up

  5. Separate install and uninstall requirements

Application requirements are set to make sure the install routine completes successfully, for example enough free disk space, minimum RAM, etc. These requirements are not the same for running the uninstall routine successfully.

Consider an application requires 10GB hard disk space to install. It is installed successfully. Later, free hard disk space drops below 10GB so the application is hidden in Software Center. The user cannot now uninstall the application using Software Center.

  6. Application dependency to upgraded application

Application dependency is causing issues in the following scenario.

"MainApp Addon 1.0" has a dependency on either "MainApp 1.0" or "MainApp 1.1".
MainApp 1.1 superseeds MainApp 1.0 with uninstall checkbox.
Both "MainApp 1.0" and "MainApp Addon 1.0" is installed on computer.
When trying to update "MainApp 1.0" to "MainApp 1.1" the log "AppIntentEval.log" will spit out errors and app upgrade will not occur.

Also new computers will have issues trying to install "MainApp 1.0" and "MainApp Addon 1.0".

This can cause issues in upgrade scenarios of application and workarounds that needs to be created.

  7. Deploy Repair Action in Deployment Settings

It would be great to have the option to deploy a Repair Action in the Deployment Settings within the Deploy Software Wizard. Purpose of this would be remediation of failed application installs. (eg force a repair script to run "required" on a collection of devices where standard deployment failed).

  8. Better Integration with AppV AutoCleanUp

At present, if an AppV has been only published to one user, or globally for the machine, and the AppV setting 'AutoCleanUp' has been enabled, when the AppV is removed it is 'Unpublished' by the CCM client but removed by the 'AutoCleanUp' process meaning the subsequent 'Removal' command from the CCM client fails and Software Center hence reports the removal as a Fail.

    This needs to be addressed.

  10. Uninstall Failed - Rule is in Conflict, Show Conflicting Deployment

Currently, we are in the process of cleaning up installed applications. We have been seeing rule is in conflict of other rules more frequently. On the Deployment view we see More Detail including the conflicting application, which is the application we are trying to remove. That application has no other deployments than the uninstall. Unfortunately it does not show the deployment that is causing this behavior. I'm aware you can not have available or required (install) deployments, however this goes beyond that.

  11. Add "Remove Application" task to a task sequence

There is a "Install Software" option in the drop down list when one creates a task sequence. It will be nice if there is also a "Remove Software" option in the drop down list too. While it is possible to just deploy to uninstall just one MSI application, it will be nice if one can uninstall multiple MSI application in a task sequence.

  12. Intergrat PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit in System Center Configuration Manager

It would be nice to have the App Deployment Toolkit Intergrated When deploying software.
So that we can have a nice popups like in the App Deployment Toolkit.

  13. Web application shortcut location

When creating a web application, it would be great if we could choose the location it appears rather than just the program menu.

  14. Application request email to use Givenname and Surname from Active Directory

Would be nice if the email sent to the one approving the request could fetch the GivenName from maybe Active Directory if you have this possibility, so instead of, or make a choice between the two:

USERNAME (Domain\Username) Would like to install APPXXXX On device with title CNDXXXXXX.

    Could be:

Givenname Surname (Domain\Username) Would like to install APPXXXX On device with title CNDXXXXXX.

    The reason?
In my organisation, i would like some application request the be approved by persons, which might not always be able to check which user is behind a specific username, and only knows them by their…

  15. Add an owner attribute to Task Sequences, Applications and Packages.

We manage over 300 applications, and would like for SCCM reporting to list whoi is "responsible" for it.

With that can you add an owner attribute to Task Sequences, Applications and Packages.

    Thank you

  16. Support User-Space Application Configuration for All Users of Device

When installing an application there is frequently a system-space component (the main install) requiring admin/system level access and a user-space component (usually configuration or licensing). Less frequently but frequent enough is that all existing users and any new users that log into the device need those user-space components. Currently there is no good, supported, method for doing so. Admins are forced to use either Active Setup (unsupported and recently broken by Win 10 IPUs), Group Policy Preferences (messy, poor targeting, and very non-obvious separation of app logic), or roll their own (login script that does a bunch of custom stuff).

  17. Allow 'Automatically upgrade any superseded version of this application' to be configurable for required deployments

Allow 'Automatically upgrade any superseded version of this application' to be configurable for required deployments. Just like what was done for Available deployments.

  18. Deployment prerequisites e.g. check for pending reboot

I would like to see options to have the ConfigMgr client check for prerequisite.
    E.g. pending reboot.
I am about to deploy Office 2019, at the silent setup fails if there is a pending reboot.
If the client could check for pending reboots before running a deployed installation, it would result in fewer failures.
If a prerequisite is not met, the client should move on to other deployments and return to the first, rechecking the prerequisites.
If the prerequisite is "no pending reboots", the client should wait till a reboot has been made.

Other prerequisites could be battery level, connection…

  19. Deploy and Update VSCode natively

Similar to how you integrated Edge deployment and maintenance into CM, could you do the same for VSCode?

Pretty much the same as this, but for vscode

  20. Install Behavior for Available Deployments force close applications

Install Behavior for Available Deployments does not force close referenced applications.
We should have the option so force close them like it happens on Required Deployments or -even better- provide a script to do the cleanup before the deployment runs.
