  1. Installation behavior: install for user with admin-privileg

    The must users in our company working without admin-privileg.

    We install the software all the time with SYSTEM-Option on the "installation behavior"-field.

    Some software (Plugins for Office, Dynamics, Certificate) have after the installation a shortcut-icon with admin privileg.

    I need a option to install the software as a user with admin-privileg.

    For example: installation behavior - install for user with admin-privileg

  2. Add ability to deploy applications / packages with task sequence methodology

    Many times we have to deploy applications that are made up of various applications and post application changes. I want to have the ability to deploy applications in a task sequence style format. Basically PDQ Deploy.

    Building packages, scripts, applications would be much easier.

  3. More than one ProductCode in Application Source Management

    For each Deployment Type, you can set one MSI ProductCode to give Source Management in hand of SCCM. If there is more than one MSI inside my installation (if i use a wrapperscript oder something else) I cannot manage my installationsource of the second msi.

    Perhabs, you can add a grid like dependencies to add more than one msi product code into a application or package

  4. Allow an application to install interacively IF a user is logged on; otherwise install without interaction

    Currently, in order to allow an application to have interaction, you need to select the option to install "Only when a user is logged on". It would be better if it allowed interaction if the user is logged on, but install without interaction if NO user is logged on. When running an MSI with /qb, you want interaction because the installer may need to prompt the user to close an application. However, if no user is logged on then it doesn't matter and interaction is not necessary.

  5. Add Deployment Type Requirement for Windows 10 versions.

    We want to be able to differentiate the Windows 10 versions. Some Appliactions should only be available to a typical Windows 10 version for example Windows 10 1803. Now(SCCM 1810) we only have the option to add a requirement for All Windows 10 (x64) or All Windows 10 (x86).

  6. Option to specify maximum number of primary devices can be associated in a UDA relationship

    We can face issues with licensing if we utilize UDA deployments and allow the end user to specify the relationship or have it based on usage. We need to ensure that there is a 1:1 relationship between user and primary device for this reason. I'd like to specify the maximum allowed primary devices per user if possible.

  8. Suggested update to Deployment Wizard

    As was indicated in the post to allow required application deployments to be uninstalled, it is often desirable to make a deployment required in order to eliminate the need for user intervention without wishing that deployment to be enforced. The current model interferes with management processes (particularly SAM) by not allowing software deployed as required to be removed, which creates a scenario where someone has to compromise their goals and can be a problem between teams in an organization.

    The suggestion is to update the deployment wizard to allow for radio buttons of Attended (formerly Available), Unattended (formerly Required), andā€¦

  9. Supersede application - show if other application depends on it

    If you supersede an application, there should be any kind of wizard which shows you which application depends on it:
    The problem in this scenario is, that if you supersede an application which is set as dependency for others, all those applications do not show up in softwarecenter anymore.
    So the "sccm admin" should be aware and get a warning when superseding applications which are set as dependencies.

  10. Give the possibility to install applications as System or Administrator or User

    Add the possibility to set up an administrator account or service account to install applications instead of system account. Some applications are failing while the installation with the System account because of missing folders or access rights. For example CRM 2013 have some trouble to install all dependencies silently with the System account. As User with adminrights it works like a charm

  11. Countdown timer before closing executable

    For the new feature in 1702 ("Check for running executable files before installing an application"), add a countdown timer pop-up above the system tray, like the countdown for restart, but in this case to allow the user to save any unsaved work before the specified executables get automatically closed.

  12. Add a link to 'Deployment Status'

    Add a link to 'Deployment Status' in the applications 'Deployments' tab, so that admins can review the deployment status without needing to search within the 'Monitoring > Deployments' node.

  13. Required Application Deployment download settings as part of the deployment

    When a required application deployment is deployed, clients start downloading the content as soon as they get the deployment in policy.

    Need the ability to control a deployments download of content. Ie have a required deployment, but allow the client to start downloading the content after hours. allow a schedule to be placed on the deployment for download of the content. This would allow you to defer the content download to say night time hours or off peak network load times.

  14. Ability to Update Office 365 Application Deployment

    I've created an Office 365 installer via SCCM but would like the ability to "update" that application deployment instead of having to remake the entire installer deployment. Almost like the ability you have to install updates to your Windows image.

  15. Add "Run As" to Applications

    Similar to the Task Sequence "Run this step as the following account". Please add this to application installations as well. We have some "difficult to package" applications that require a user profile in order to install successfully. These applications fail to install as an application because when running as the system there is no user profile path. As a result, we have to resort to task sequences to install these which results in a worse end user experience.

  16. User initiated uninstall of required deployments

    For troubleshooting it is often necessary to uninstall/reinstall an application. For an available deployment the user can do this themselves, but for required deployments an admin must assist which is not very efficient.

    If a required deployment can have a flag for "Allow user to temporarily uninstall" and this then makes the Uninstall method available to the user in software center, the user can easily remove and reinstall the application. (or wait for reinstall in the next maintenance window)

    This will reduce IT workload and I guess it shouldn't require much changes in your code.

  18. Delay detection method after application deployment with suppressed reboot

    Whenever you suppress reboot for an application deployment by changing it to "no action" or changing 3010 to "success (no reboot)" (poor man solution for us without approved maintenance windows), the deployment rules are run immediately which will fail when it's ex. a Windows hotfix deployment which only updates the files at restart.

    It would be great to have an option to suppress reboot for an application without maintenance windows, while making the detection method wait until next restart like it does when using restart countdown.

  19. Automatically populate Product Code field in Deployment Type when importing MSI Application

    When create an Application and import and MSI it will automatically populate the Detection Method with the Product Mode GUID. However, you still have to manually fill in the Product Code field on the Programs tab. This field is almost always a good idea if using an MSI with the application so that you can repair from Programs and Features.

  20. Application deployment pre-approval

    Currently, if I deploy an application with the "requires administrative approval" any and all requests for that deployment require an approval.

    It would be great to be able to "pre-approve" users during the deployment wizard, so that a senior help desk technician or key application users (for example) can be pre-approved to install software, while other users in the same collection might be required to formally request that software.

    Also, it seems strange that if I deploy software with "requires administrator approval" to a collection that I am in, I need to request, and then approve, my own application request.
