  1. Add an "All Items" category to Software Center

Please add an "All Items" category to Software Center and have this displayed by default whenever a user clicks on a notification/toast. This would eliminate the dozens of calls we get from the end-users who ask "where's the update I was just asked to apply"?

  2. notification for updated windows store for business apps

I love the Windows store for Business integration within SCCM. It makes my job considerably easier since my company's IT Security team doesn't want the store to be open. It would be highly beneficial to be able to set up an alert for when a Store app gets updated. This would allow a more seamless experience for our users.

  3. Deploy Multiple Applications for a User Collection

I have over 100 applications and I wanna deploy multiple applications for user collections. Is there any method for this?

    Thanks,

  4. Add the ability to elevate the User but, not in the System context.

There should be a check box for User Based installations to elevate the user during the installation process. There may have to be something to disallow activity outside the installation process for security reasons. There is a problem getting user profile data to the user's profile AT INSTALLATION TIME and keeping uninstallation functionality. The user won't have rights to install the machine portion or uninstall the application without it, as a user based installation. Active Setup and working the default user profile are not great solutions for this and don’t populate the user’s profile running as local system at installation…

  5. Browser plugins

If a plug in is needed for a webpage and it is not installed on the machine redirect the user to the Application Catalog instead of the vendor site. For example, user needs Flash, the page prompts the user to install Flash and directs them to the App Catalog. Do not know if this it technically possible but would be neat. Especially if it worked with all browsers.

  6. Allow 2 sets of user experience options for deployment of application with supersedence

Consider this scenario: You have an application deployed as Available. You create a new application that supersedes the original application and deploy it as Available but with the option to automatically upgrade any superseded versions of the application.

I would like to customize the user notification options so I can select "Display in Software Center, and only show notifications for computer restarts" when it is available, but select "Display in Software Center and show all notifications" when it becomes required to upgrade a superseded version.

  7. Deploy Application during WinPe phase of Task Sequence

We deploy BIOS updates as applications to existing clients. Applications give nice benefits like detection (WMI query), compliance reporting etc. There are other early boot firmware packages (AMT, NICs...) that could use this model, but BIOS is the most usual.

However we can't use the same Application in Task Sequence WinPE phase to immediatly bring machine up to date during initial deployment/boot. Therefor we must either:
    A. create a Package just for TS - extra work
    B. install BIOS updates later after OS deployment. However this brings other complications - experience tells that BIOS should be up-to-date before deploying anything.

  8. Add Priority Column to Applicaions and Packages

It think it would be helpful to include an optional column to display the Priority of an application or package. We schedule DP's for allow high priority only for business hours and occasionally need to override an application to High to force it to distribute.

Also when a new DP is brought online and added to the DP group it automatically starts distributing everything set to High so we have to go in and start changing things to Normal.

If we could add a Priority column to the view it would be easy to sort and find at a glance…

  9. After Running option in Program wizard

When creating a program, the wizard should have the option to set "After running". Currently, after the wizard, I have to edit the program to change that value. Other missing fields include User Description, Category, and additional requirements. Having those in the wizard will minimize the chance of missing them.

SCCM Packages - Install another program first does not respect "Only when no user is logged on" while one has setting "Allow software installation outside of maintenance window when assignment time is reached"
I deployed one Package that had to uninstall first old version of the program and the install the new version, Only when user is logged off. Only uninstallation worked while user was logged on=fail. There was no deadline for the installation and Maintenace Window was 16.00-06.00.

  11. Fix Supercedence Uninstall bug

There is definitely a bug with using the Supercedence Uninstall feature that causes the old application to be removed but the new application does not install.

Scenario (confirmed this happens with a variety of applications):
    - Office 2013 is a required deployment
    - Office 2016 is ready to deploy, so we create a supercedence with Uninstall
    - Maintenance Window is Mon-Fri 5PM-5AM, all day Sat/Sun
    - Deploy Office 2016 as Required starting Friday 5PM, with a Deadline of the NEXT Friday at 5PM
    - The Monday after deployment start (deadline not reached yet) Office 2013 will have uninstalled as expected,…

  12. automatic phased deployment

Wait, wait hear me out. What if you could target a deployment to a single collection and ConfigMgr just thought up random groups of 20-30 machines at a time and made the deployment available to the next group after a specified period of time. Essentially creating an automatically built phases with no real requirements other than "x" amount of time has passed since the previous groups.

  13. Automatically create software metering rules at application creation

Please create the software metering rules automatically when creating the app . With MSI this should be fairly easy and it could also allow the create the process detections automatically (feature1).

  14. When i distribute software/images,whatever to a distribution point, i want to be able to specify when it should go to the distribution point

When i distribute software/images, whatever to a distribution point, i want to be able to specify when it should go to the distribution point. With bandwidth limited sites I cant let SCCM just distribute a 500mb package during the day. It Would be great to specify a day/time (sunday 3am for example) when it can update the distribution point

  15. Include the ability to add partner IDs, volume licensing IDs, etc, so you can download ISOs available to your license directly into SCCM.

Include the ability to add partner IDs, volume licensing IDs, etc, so you can download ISOs available to your license directly into SCCM. For Office/Visio/etc, the ability to customize the install in a manner similar to the Office Deployment Toolkit would also be necessary.

  16. Install MSP

To be able to install MSP file by them self using an App model, just like how there is an MSI one. Also to be able to add on a MSP or MST file when installing a MSI App model package.

  17. Automatic selection of distribution point when only one is available

When a site only has one distribution point, this point should be chosen automatically when distributing content.
There is really no need for the manual selection process.

  18. Allow already deployed applications to be modified for email approval

Allow already deployed applications to be modified for email approval.

With 1810 you can now select to have emails sent when an application approval request is generated. That's great! However, you can only do it for applications that are deployed after the upgrade to 1810

It would be great if this functionality could be added to applications that are already deployed.,

  19. Enable creating a working copy of an application to check in and out

We need the ability to test edits to an application before putting them into production. Making a copy breaks dependency and supercedence relationships.

I would like to ask for the ability to check out an application to make edits. Once the edits are tested, we would be able to check back in the changes.

  20. Defer application download until maintenance period

When deploying software to device collections that have a maintenance period the software downloads then waits for the maintenance period to begin installing. It would be great to have the option to defer the downloading process until either the maintenance period or a set amount of time before the maintenance period. This would allow IT departments to defer large software deployments to a time when network traffic is low.

Optionally, provide a new option in the maintenance period settings for when application downloads are allowed to happen.
