I would like configmgr to integrate with winget.
Please allow me to simply tell winget to install/uninstall an application and allow sccm to monitor the result codes. Provide winget as a part of the sccm client install. Reduce my work effort to deploy applications!
This should be a native deployment type as well. Let sccm ingest all the possible applications winget supports!
Allow application content to be stored via Microsoft Connected Cache!60 votes
When you perform a search also include all subfolders by default!64 votes
Currently, application detection method scripts are ran in such a way that it causes issues with certain levels of PowerShell Constrained Language Mode. An example of how scripts are run is below.
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\PowerShell.exe" -NoLogo -Noninteractive -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass "& 'C:\WINDOWS\CCM\SystemTemp\11a53fac-8144-438e-aa01-6d2378be848b.ps1'"
To better allow detection method scripts to be ran under Constrained Language mode, the script should be ran with -File instead of with the call operator &.
With the current configuration it is not possible to use PowerShell based detection methods in some scenarios, reducing their usefulness.

Add an option to the builtin Edge deployment Wizard in the console so we can choose to create the desktop icon or not.14 votes
I would like to be able to create a threshold on Phased Deployments so that the deployment would automatically stop if it hits that threshold. Ideally this could be either a count or a percentage selected. The behavior I would want is for the deployment to go into a paused state if the error limit is hit.12 votes
The 1906 application group feature only allows you to deploy application groups to devices. Please extend this feature to enable application groups for user deployments as well.54 votes
Actually, is it impossible to deploy MS Edge on management computer without internet: It doesnt't look like you're connected to the internet :
Please close the wizard, check your connection and try again.
Failed to create and establish connection to https://aka.ms/cmedgeapi
Is it possible to add the feature with manual download or add remote download from sccm server like windows update ?5 votes
Add, please, additional option to the application supersedence/replacement window "Corresponding to conditions". Very often we need to replace one application to another which has different number of deployment types. Superseded application has only one deployment type (x86 as example) but new application has 2 deployment types (x86 and x64) which has global condition based on operating system architecture. With the new option CCM Client will choose a new application where requirements are met.35 votes
Application groups can be deployed to a collection but cannot be added in a Task Sequence and then deployed. Please enable the Task Sequence deployment for Application Groups.9 votes
recently Microsoft have been using AppData to install applications like OneDrive and Teams, the issue is we can not use the following as a detection method (%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams) as the way SCCM works is it will convert %userprofile% as the service account and not the currently logged in user.28 votes
ConfigMgr 1906 has a great new feature to initiate immediate application installation with "Install Application" feature.
It would be really helpful if there were a standalone app just for "Install Application" feature. Then helpdesk persons could approve/deny the application installations with much simpler tool than full ConfigMgr console.29 votes
Split this item from a bigger umbrella item.
This is to specify an icon per legacy package/program in the Software Center.388 votes
Application dependency is causing issues in the following scenario.
"MainApp Addon 1.0" has a dependency on either "MainApp 1.0" or "MainApp 1.1".
MainApp 1.1 superseeds MainApp 1.0 with uninstall checkbox.
Both "MainApp 1.0" and "MainApp Addon 1.0" is installed on computer.
When trying to update "MainApp 1.0" to "MainApp 1.1" the log "AppIntentEval.log" will spit out errors and app upgrade will not occur.
Also new computers will have issues trying to install "MainApp 1.0" and "MainApp Addon 1.0".
This can cause issues in upgrade scenarios of application and workarounds that needs to be created.0 votes
It would be great to have the option to deploy a Repair Action in the Deployment Settings within the Deploy Software Wizard. Purpose of this would be remediation of failed application installs. (eg force a repair script to run "required" on a collection of devices where standard deployment failed).8 votes
At present, if an AppV has been only published to one user, or globally for the machine, and the AppV setting 'AutoCleanUp' has been enabled, when the AppV is removed it is 'Unpublished' by the CCM client but removed by the 'AutoCleanUp' process meaning the subsequent 'Removal' command from the CCM client fails and Software Center hence reports the removal as a Fail.
This needs to be addressed.1 vote
The Microsoft Edge Management - create app, should allow the following:
1- add option for the folder creation, not everyone wants to have the version as separated folder
2- add option to add version to the app name
3- software center should be populated, including icon
4- uninstall program should be filled up5 votes
Currently, we are in the process of cleaning up installed applications. We have been seeing rule is in conflict of other rules more frequently. On the Deployment view we see More Detail including the conflicting application, which is the application we are trying to remove. That application has no other deployments than the uninstall. Unfortunately it does not show the deployment that is causing this behavior. I'm aware you can not have available or required (install) deployments, however this goes beyond that.1 vote
There is a "Install Software" option in the drop down list when one creates a task sequence. It will be nice if there is also a "Remove Software" option in the drop down list too. While it is possible to just deploy to uninstall just one MSI application, it will be nice if one can uninstall multiple MSI application in a task sequence.1 vote
It would be nice to have the App Deployment Toolkit Intergrated When deploying software.
So that we can have a nice popups like in the App Deployment Toolkit.1 vote
