  1. The Office 365 updates behavior in SCCM 1802 still feels off and unpolished

We still see prompts for closing running office applications and while Software Center displays a reboot required, the update doesn't seem to get installed unless manually triggered through the in-app notification.

  2. script query of automatic deploy rules

PowerShell scripting or WQL queries of automatic deploy rules for selection of update filtering in the SCCM Console.

For example, to filter out everything but “Feature update to windows 10 (business editions), version 1803, en-us” I must use the query shown in the attachment.

1803 OR -gb OR -consumer (1803 OR NOT gb OR NOT consumer)

Because OR is the only logical join and the ‘-‘ is a literal character and ‘-‘ means NOT I have to filter with negative logic.

A bigger issue is that when a new version comes out I must manually change the query to change…

  5. add software update to software update group

I would like the ability to right click > add to software update group. this would be much faster to choose my own SUG rather than waiting on the list of SUG's to populate and mark a checkbox to add the update to the SUG. this would be the same functionality as adding a device to a new collection or existing collection.

  6. Have an option to decline or stop/prevent a Windows Update from deploying from the SCCM Console.

I wanted to block an update from deploying the other day and didn't see a button/option to say DECLINE / DONT DEPLOY within the Configuration Manager Console. I saw the update had been downloaded already, but had not been deployed. So I wanted to make sure it would not get deployed at all. I had to go into the WSUS server and decline the Update these and then re-synch the sccm database.
Quick DECLINE or STOP / BLOCK button would be nice. Or an UNINSTALL/REMOVE button.

  7. Add vendor description to update search parameter (product)

When you add 3rd party drivers/software/firmware updates to update catalog, you can only filter updates by names that might get confusing when you have multiple vendors. Right now the product for HP is either Firmware/Software/Driver. We can only assume Lenovo, Dell, ... Will have the same and it Will be confusing. HP Driver/HP Software/HP Firmware would make more sence and make filtering easier.

  8. "client is Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, and express download not anabled yet" error

I have enabled express update on SCCM 1802, and my windows 7 OSes are not getting patched, instead I am getting
    "CBundledUpdate::OnJobAttach - failed with error 0x87d0066a"
"Failed to perform Job Attach to update, error = 0x87d0066a."
"client is Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, and express download not anabled yet" errors on UpdateHandler.log
Not to mention there is a typo "anabled". I can't find any document about how to enable windows 7's express update function on your M$ sites.

  9. Software updates query

I would like the software updates module have an improved filter.
Basically I want to create filters which can use NOT LIKE on columns such as severity or Product.

  10. s int32 instead string.

In this way we could compare built compilation versión better. It's useful this comparation for build dynamics collections throught queries which gathers device with lower built compilation than current ones.

  11. Customized Pilot user section in Software Center

It would ne nice to have the ability to flip a switch that allows users to then see an area in Software center where they could join the company pilot group. Currently we have to manually maintain a list of users. This way, users could opt in to the pilot group for their machine. Pilot deployments would then be distinguishable from standard deployments so the user would know what was going on. Also a way for them to send feedback to the SCCM team would be great, even if it was just a thumbs up/down.

  12. Windows 10 Servicing Management without Task Sequences

The idea of leveraging a Windows 10 Servicing plan is great. It's a relatively simple process that can keep companies on a defined Windows 10 lifecycle. However, due to the nature of the upgrades and processes in which things get reset or reinstalled customers are forced to leverage task sequences. With the announcement of Windows 10 1803 pre/post configuration scripts, there now appears to be somewhat of an avenue where these items can start to be managed. However, when you look at our customers failure percentages for any deployment, you have to ask yourself, would a customer really want a…

  16. Manage Internet Facing SUP using weights

We have Internet SUP's in AMER, APAC, and EMEA. I would like to see the local client not randomly pick a SUP from the available list, but be able to determine the best SUP based upon location, response time, and home site.

  17. Bug: Folders for Software Updates are not independent for Windows 10 Servicing and Office 365

Consider the following user story on 1802:

I decided to organize all my software updates that are synchronized in my hierarchy by creating folders such as YYYY-MM. After performing move operations on these updates that were released within this format I noticed that the folders are duplicated underneath the 'Windows 10 Servicing" node and Office 365 Updates node. When I browse for the updates in the folders I created under "All Software Updates" my updates visible as expected; however these folders are triplicated down the side of the console and are all empty in other nodes.

    From the All Software…

  18. Add an entry to Audit Status Messages when an ADR is manually ran

Currently the only way to tell who manually initiated an ADR is to check the SMSProv.log. However, since this log is recreated so frequently it's easy to lose this record. Due to the impact that a rogue ADR can have on an environment, a more reliable way of auditing ADR's that were manually initiated should be added. First idea that comes to mind is creating an Audit Status Message.

  19. Patch Download should be optionally done by the site server

To make automatic deployment rules work site servers in enterprise environments needs proxy and firewall exceptions. So site servers should be able to download software updates. But in remote console sessions the console users also need proxy permissions because the downloads are done in context of the console users and for their workstations firewall exceptions need to be defined. This makes it unimpossible to run the console on a secured Workstation by an administrator account that can not access the internet. It would be usefull if we had the option to choose who downloads the patches. In example "use my…

  20. ADR add possibility to set a User for "download software updates from a location on my network"

Please add a possibility to specify a user which the ADR will use to download the content.
In a infrastructure with a DMZ and a own untrusted domain, it is not possible to set a user which is downloading the Updates from a WSUS. Till now SCCM is always using the system account of the Site Server to download the Updates.
