  1. Add a patch now option

    Add a patch now option

From the software update view in the console, add a option to select updates, then having a patch now or deploy now action.

This could open a window with all the devices on which the updates is missing the give you the ability to add those devices to a collection where the updates are deployed or even give you the ability the create a deployment, download the updates, etc...

  2. Improve the ADR engine

    Improve the ADR engine

    • Automate the cleanup of the previous software update groups created by the rules, i.e. before creating a new SUG it will check for older SUG members and based on criteria automatically manage updates that are member of a specific SUG. If updates are published or revised in 2016 then move the updates to our 2016 SUG, or previous month etc. Or, if they are superseeded or expired then remove the updates from the SUG...

    • Allow to name the deployment create by the ADR, this will be useful for reporting purpose if you have more than oneā€¦

We manage both servers and workstations in our SCCM primary site. It would be great in the Software Updates workspace or node in the console when you are viewing all updates to be able to scope of filter the applicability to a collection.

Since we use the console to build software update groups based off of applicability of the updates for both servers and workstations and two different groups deploy it would be great to be able to only see what is needed for either just workstations or just servers or even better just browse to a collection and thenā€¦

  4. Show Deployment Package for Software Update

Would be great to have a tab on the properties of each Software Update that shows what Deployment Package(s) the update is included in. You can see what updates are in a Deployment Package, but not what Deployment Packages an updates are in.

  5. Automatic Deployment Rules

It would be great if when you configure a rule of automatic deployment, we could set through a calendar for the ADR-Automatic Deployment Rules run.

In my environment, I need the rule of automatic deployment run from Monday to Friday, because I enable Wake On Lan feature to customers with upgrade and SCAN the SCEP-antimalware System Center solution Endpoint Protection set.

  6. In the Summary views for a software update or software update group, make the statistics link through to a list of the machines

In the Software Library summary tab for SUGs and individual updates, make the Statistics pie chart and Compliant, Non-Compliant and Unknown counts link to a dynamic collection of machines in a specific state, similar to the Endpoint Protection monitoring views.

  7. Create maintenance task to clean expired/superseded updates from SUGs and Deployment Packages

right now, you have to manually delete expired/superseded updates from your deployment package(s) and then remove expired/superseded updates from software update groups. if this could be added as a maintenance task, it would be a huge help to SUP maintenance

  8. Windows 10 Servicing - Usage & Ring Tiles Should Produce List of PCs When Clicked

When you view the new Windows 10 Servicing dashboard in 1511/1602, you see these awesome graphical tiles that give you a snapshot of your Windows 10 usage and rings in your organization. However, when you hover your mouse over those two tiles and click, nothing happens other than you're presented with a percentage. It would be great if the area you select and click gives you a list of PCs broken down so you see what machines fall into what bucket. Very useful for troubleshooting too.

  9. Allow periods in SUG Names

This is rather annoying when you are trying to deploy updates that have a period in their name or version number

Can this be looked at for future builds so we can create SUGs with names like "SUG - .NET Framework 4.6.1" and not "SUG - DOTNET Framework 4-6-1"?

    :)

  10. Include Reset/Repair functionality of the Windows Update Agent

When troubleshooting failed installations of Software Updates, a simple reset of the Windows Updates Agent resolves the issue. It would be great to include some type of automated reset/repair functionality of the Windows Update Agent.

  11. Scheduled Offline Updates - Include Microsoft Office

We find the Scheduled Updates option incredibly helpful, however not being able to include Office Updates means we still require the occasional build and capture to include those updates in the WIM. Could the inclusion of Office Updates within Scheduled Updates be a possibility?

  12. Windows 10 Servicing Dashboard: Make it clickable

When I go to the Windows 10 Servicing Dashboard, I got a nice PieChart of the Windows 10 Clients and their Version.
But when I click on the PieChart, nothing happens. It would be great to have the same experience on this Dashboard like on the SCEP Dashboards.
That means, if I click on the PieChart one of the Windows 10 Version, a new collection would be opened, with the corresponding Devices.

  13. Windows 10 Servicing Mode and ADR settings

Since updating to SCM 1511 the new Windows 10 Servicing mode has no option to 'add to an existing Software Update Group'.
Also the Automatic Deployment Rule properties tabs do not exist altogether as they did pre SCCM 1511. Yet they all exist for the Windows 10 Servicing Mode.

  14. Different business hour for different days

It will be good to allow options for users to select different timing for different days in the business hour setting Eg. 10am to 4pm on Monday, 12pm to 6pm on Tuesday, etc

  15. Ability to automatically install Windows 10 ADK releases (or rollback or apply hotfix) via Updates and Servicing.

The windows 10 adk has changed a few times since the original release of Windows 10, there have been two major releases and one hotfix to fix issues with the second release, as a consequence of that many people got jittery about upgrading to ADK 10 1511.

How are we going to deal with this in a good way, a really good way. Prior to this we didn't have to upgrade our boot images every 6 months or so.

    Here's the suggestion:-

    1. When we update from 1602 to 1607 (or whatever) to support the next generation of Windows, it

  17. Complex scheduling: Enable patch deployments to servers based on SDLC (Dev / QA / Prod / DR)

Based on Patch Tuesday, allow application / business owners to select appropriate down time for the server as well as a sequenced order (e.g., Development servers during the first week after Patch Tuesday, QA on the second week after Patch Tuesday, Production servers on the third week after Patch Tuesday, et cetera). This allows the business owners to "own their own destiny" and get systems administrators out of the business of coordinating patching maintenance windows. In addition, the ability to insert "change freezes" that force the schedule to increment all downstream targets out by an additional week to compensate forā€¦

  18. Allow postponing windows updates

Allow the end user to postpone windows updates and show in the console user/computer name of the postponed computer. Currently the console has vague reasons for software failure.

  19. SUP

    Software update - SUP

Need to allow the SCCM client cache to remove software updates and to also to remove software in the cache if the software updates exceeds the cache size.

  20. Merge Windows 10 Servicing menu to Software Updates menu

    Hello Team,

I have noticed that when we create a Windows 10 Servicing plan, that the deployement package is on the Sofware Updates -> Deployment Packages.

And so may be i think it could be nice to get all option on the same way : i mean it should be annoying to navigate from Windows 10 Servicing menu to Software Updates menu in order to find the Windows 10 Servicing Deployment Packages.
