  3. add software update to software update group

I would like the ability to right click > add to software update group. this would be much faster to choose my own SUG rather than waiting on the list of SUG's to populate and mark a checkbox to add the update to the SUG. this would be the same functionality as adding a device to a new collection or existing collection.

  4. Software Update Compliancy for Software Update Group - Report

    Hi,

I'm using the Report "Compliance 1 - Overall Compliance".
I want to check compliance of specific computers with a software update group deployed to them. However lots of computers get "Non-compliant" as status. When I click through the report the non-compliancy is coming from updates NOT included in the software update group. This doesn't seem very logic to me.

I would like to have a report which shows me the compliancy for updates ONLY included in the software update group, no other updates. As according to me it happens sometimes that updates are required but aren't deployed yet because…

  5. Have an option to decline or stop/prevent a Windows Update from deploying from the SCCM Console.

I wanted to block an update from deploying the other day and didn't see a button/option to say DECLINE / DONT DEPLOY within the Configuration Manager Console. I saw the update had been downloaded already, but had not been deployed. So I wanted to make sure it would not get deployed at all. I had to go into the WSUS server and decline the Update these and then re-synch the sccm database.
Quick DECLINE or STOP / BLOCK button would be nice. Or an UNINSTALL/REMOVE button.

  6. Add vendor description to update search parameter (product)

When you add 3rd party drivers/software/firmware updates to update catalog, you can only filter updates by names that might get confusing when you have multiple vendors. Right now the product for HP is either Firmware/Software/Driver. We can only assume Lenovo, Dell, ... Will have the same and it Will be confusing. HP Driver/HP Software/HP Firmware would make more sence and make filtering easier.

  7. Software updates query

I would like the software updates module have an improved filter.
Basically I want to create filters which can use NOT LIKE on columns such as severity or Product.

  8. s int32 instead string.

In this way we could compare built compilation versiĂłn better. It's useful this comparation for build dynamics collections throught queries which gathers device with lower built compilation than current ones.

  9. Software Updates should support specifying order of install

Request being file on behalf of a large communications customer. Please ping me for any specific details required.

Based on the recent challenges with 4088878 and 4088875

We released a fix, 4099950, to resolve the issue. Our guidance is that we should install 4099950 prior to the March update. The software updates mechanism in ConfigMgr currently does not provide a means of specifying an installation order for updates. Scenarios such as this underscore the need for such capabilities.

  12. Give us the ability to customize the maximum run time based on update type

The Cumulative Updates for Windows Server 2016 are taking longer and longer every month. I'm now seeing a lot of servers reaching the timeout after 60 minutes, and I have to bump it up to 90 for them to successfully install the update the following month. Could you give us a way to specify a custom maximum run time for Cumulative Updates and the Monthly Rollups so we can adjust it ourselves as they get bigger and take longer?

  13. Console notice when new or revised Update is available-per ADRs

Patch Tuesday can be hard, especially like April 2018 when an update is expired after 2 days and new version is available. Unless you knew to pull the new update in or have the ADR set to run every day, there is no way to know about this update. I don't want just a auto push on Friday Moring of Patch Tuesday week with out some kind of notice first.
This would generate a notice that a patch X has been removed and patch Y has been added.

This would not good for Defender or some other updates but If…

  14. Client notification for Grace Period-show when install will occur

Client notifications (application/update deployment) associated with the new grace period feature should display a countdown notification so users are informed of the installation deadline and the amount of time remaining in the grace period. All to ensure they know how much time they have to complete their work.
E.G “Deployment will become mandatory in “X” number of hours (or minutes)”

  15. Manage Internet Facing SUP using weights

We have Internet SUP's in AMER, APAC, and EMEA. I would like to see the local client not randomly pick a SUP from the available list, but be able to determine the best SUP based upon location, response time, and home site.

  16. Patch Download should be optionally done by the site server

To make automatic deployment rules work site servers in enterprise environments needs proxy and firewall exceptions. So site servers should be able to download software updates. But in remote console sessions the console users also need proxy permissions because the downloads are done in context of the console users and for their workstations firewall exceptions need to be defined. This makes it unimpossible to run the console on a secured Workstation by an administrator account that can not access the internet. It would be usefull if we had the option to choose who downloads the patches. In example "use my…

  17. ADR add possibility to set a User for "download software updates from a location on my network"

Please add a possibility to specify a user which the ADR will use to download the content.
In a infrastructure with a DMZ and a own untrusted domain, it is not possible to set a user which is downloading the Updates from a WSUS. Till now SCCM is always using the system account of the Site Server to download the Updates.

  18. under software updates a custom column to set a flag if update is flawed

nice to have a self-defined column under SoftwareLibary-SoftwareUpdates-all Software Updates to mark for yourself whether an update is flawed or not. for example, set a flag (red, yellow, green)

  19. Updates delivered via "Windows 10 Servicing" or through "Surface Drivers and Firmware Updates" features never report "installed" numbers

Software Updates delivered via "Windows 10 Servicing" or through "Surface Drivers and Firmware Updates" features never report "installed" numbers. They report how many systems require the updates, or how many are unknown or not required. This makes it hard to tell how many systems have updated, especially when we're testing new drivers or new operating system versions. There are other ways of determining what OS versions are out there, but none that really help us determine which OSes upgraded to 1709 by a Windows 10 Servicing software update Vs. a Windows 10 1709 OS Upgrade task sequence (at least these…
