  1. Monitor Software Update Installation in Real Time using a Dashboard or SCCM Admin Website

When deploying Software Updates to your server farm, it would be great to have a centralized Dashboard or Web Interface that provides you real time statistics of the patch installation process. This would give you the ability to immediately see if a patch failed to install or a client failed to install a patch or, in the case of a few updates, that a reboot is required to the remaining patches can be installed. I know its kind of getting greedy but if this dashboard existed, and you could right click on a server and launch a remote version ofā€¦

  2. SCreate a seocndary deadline action for insalling and rebooting outside of maintenance window

I'd like to have the option, when pushing out software updates to have deadlines for maintenance windows. For example, you set the deadline for automatic install and reboot for sunday at 10pm and set the deadline behaviour to not do anything outside of the maintenance window. This means the patches will only automatically install during the maintenance window and wont interrupt the users during the day. However, I'd like a secondary deadline, so that say on Wednesday night I can set the patches to install outside of the maintenance window from say 6pm onward (i.e the users have had enoughā€¦

  3. Should be able to run ADR from CAS

ADRs currently appear to only fire from the primary site server. Unfortunately our primary doesn't have internet access and guess what? The ADR fails to download updates. I can't be the only one in this position. I would suggest a future release (or update) should include an option to specify a server from which the ADR should fire from (in our case and probably most cases, the SUP server).

    Thanks,

    Simon

  4. Allow single systems to exclude single patches from an update group.

We would like the capability to exclude a single patch from a specific computer. Right now, we have to exclude a server from all patches, manually patch it, or create a totally new deployment because a 3rd party vendor requires patch exclusions for their product to function. It would be a whole lot easier if there was a way to exclude a group of specific patches from singular systems or collections.

  5. "Software Update Group"

It would be nice to be able to group a couple of Software Update Groups together and Deploy as a single Deployment, have had a couple of clients wanting Software Update Groups per Operating System and Office Application, however on the Reporting the want to see a single Deployment for Compliancy.

  6. Treat Deployment Scheduling Software available time like a Collection maintenance window

The Deployment Scheduling "Software available time" is a one-time setting. Any newly imaged workstations built after that time will receive software update packages at any time during the business day. Unlike Collection maintenance windows, which only apply to the execution time for the software packages, there is no way (that I know of) currently to control the time of the download of the packages.

    Either/or
    1) Provide a daily "Software available time" start time
    2) Tie the software available time to a Collection's maintenance window
    3) Define a maintenance window for "Software available for downloading".

  7. Add 'OS Build' Column in Updateinfo for each update

The UBR is also used to identify a machine is complaint to cumulative monthly patch or not.

Now that we have OS build (Buildext or UBR) info add to VRSystem via DDR, it would be great if the same UBR or OS Build is added to each update in V_Updateinfo table in SCCM Database
when the new updates released by Microsoft on MSPD, so that the win 10 compliance reporting would be much simpler.

  8. Possibility to integrate cumulative updates into Feature Updates (Windows 10 Servicing)

Please add the possibility to integrate cumulative updates into Windows 10 Feature Updates (SCCM servicing)

    or

do the integration by yourself and give us the possibility to re-download the Feature update with an integrated cumulative update.

  9. SCCM Should not Force A Reboot Until BOTH Windows Updates AND Office 365 Updates are INSTALLED

Seems Office 365 updates do not coincide with Windows updates like previous versions. What happens is Windows updates will force a reboot without waiting for Office 365 updates to finish installing.

Both are set with the same deadline in the same Software Update Group.

Otherwise, I recommend that the Office/SCCM Team come up with restart flags that can be set via SCCM to just restart the Office 365 apps.

  10. A way to clean up duplicate updates that may be in more then one Deployment Package

I find updates duplicated into multi packages, and downloaded in each, making the space used 2x+ more then needed.

  11. Windows Update Agent Version

Would it be possible to have a visual queue in the Software Updates console a hint of which KBs are delivering which Windows Update Agent?

  12. ADR - Add a Collection filter for required updates

Add a filter in the ADR rules to filter on members of collections. So an ADR rule can have required by more than one device (>=1), but limited to required updates by collection membership

  14. Need to be able to select a device group when scanning for updates

Being able to select a device group when scanning for updates and only seeing updates that are missing from that group would be a huge help.
currently the counts reflect the whole environment which is much less helpful.

  15. Remove unused Vendor classifications from SUP

Remove unused Vendor classifications from SUP.

As l have been configuring SCCM 1806 with Third Party Patching, l am now left with unwanted Vendors being listed in SUP and SUP Reports.

    Can these be pruned/removed?

  16. Windows feature update with latest windows cummulative Update

Provide the feature updates to newer windows version including the latest Windows CU.
Currently the upgrade to 1803 is done to the RTM version. Thus already solved Windows bugs appear (e.g. low disk space, additional drive letter).
When upgrading with the latest CU, these issues dont happen.
TaskSequence is no option also the installation of the CU afterwards as the bug have raised before.
The opened support case was closed with the information to post the DCR here.

  17. Improve performance of 'Install Software Update' Task Sequence step (outside of OSD)

I've been using a custom made Task Sequence to deploy updates to a number of servers in our environment, and I've noticed that performance of the 'Install Software Updates' TS step. The main reason for using this approach is that I can run additional pre- and post- installation steps (like disabling/re-enabling app services, etc.) which simplifies the process and allows scalability. Usually, a deployment is created well in advance that advertises the required SUG (deployed as available) to a particular set of machines and all I need is to have only the updates that are made available for the serverā€¦

  18. Quick link to computers missing an update

Listing updates in the CM console I can see compliance level in a pie chart. It would be good if I directly from there could list all objects that are missing the update I'm looking at in the same way as we are able to navigate to the monitoring part for a package being distributed.

  19. Automatically update software update groups when updates are superseded

It would be nice if SCCM automatically removed superseded updates from Software Update Groups and replaced them with the superseding update. I can see the supersedence trail for each update, so SCCM can tell me the KB number of an new update that supersedes a previous update, now just make the swap!

  20. Add a "superseding update deployed" column to the Software Updates node(s)

When a software update has a superseded = yes, it would be useful to also be able to see if the superseding update is deployed, to verify it is safe to remove from a given software update group.
