  1. Need Client Data Sources reports that provide more detail than the Client Data Sources Dashboard

Ability to show client data sources used on specific deployments in Reporting would be very helpful. The Client Data Sources dashboard does not prove the granularity I'm looking for.

  2. Expand Software Inventory to include Office 365 Add-ins

Right now we have to use Office Telemetry to determine what Office 365 Add-ins are being used in our environment. We have a need to report on what add-ins are being used and to also be able to notify users who are using unapproved add-ins.

Please add Office-addins as an additional class of software inventory in CM.

Using Office Telemetry is overkill and the current process is very tedious. We are currently investigating the Git-Hub Get-OfficeAddins but feel that this level of inventory collection should be native to CM. In addition to collecting the add-in inventory data, some reports to…

  4. Report for all administrative actions

It would be nice to have a report to list all administrative actions performed by admins in a CM site. A report similar to "Administration activity log", but not limited to changes in the administrative roles section.

  5. SCCM Reports - Option to create Favorites

It would be a nice option to create favorites of ConfigMgr-Reports. There are over 500 built-in reports and many admins are spends a lot of time for searching.

    For Exampe:

  6. Copy Query

In the Reports area, there is a query area. It would be nice if we could copy a query. We have not found a good way of doing this.

  7. Modify Custom Reports without Site Modify

The ability to edit reports is based is based on assigned roles. If you create a separate folder for custom reports then you must give the users modify permission on the site so that their accounts are added into the 'ConfigMgr Report Administrators' SSRS role at the root report folder. That's a lotta permission just to edit custom reports. So ideally there'd be an RBA role permission for any report not covered by existing permissions. Really anything that disassociates that ability from modifying sites.

  8. DataWarehouse reports - Filter Software Updates Compliance on a SUG

Currently a computer seems to be marked as non-compliant if at least one update is missing in the DW tables. There are loads of reasons why this may be justified. The DW reports would be much better if we could filter on a SUG as that would be more meaningful for end users

  9. Expand Software Tag inventory to include optional elements

Some software vendors include optional elements that are not gathered by the Asset Intelligence Software Tag Inventory. Adobe for example places the serial number in this section, and without being able to gather that serial number its impossible to tell what version of Acrobat is installed on a PC without writing convoluted scripts/CIs. Please expand the software tag inventory scan to include optional elements. Example of an Adobe software tag below

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <swid:softwareidentificationtag xsi:schemaLocation="http://standards.iso.org/iso/19770/-2/2008/schema.xsd softwareidentificationtag.xsd"

  10. Dataware house service point and MBAM compliance information (sccm 1702 and later)

When sccm deletes old computer information (as per the scheduled system maintenace task), compliance information for Bitlocker is also removed for that computer.
Can the datawarehouse servicepoint also copy MBAM compliance to the datawarehouse database (when MBAM is integrated with SCCM).

  11. Application deployment reporting - Report to retain data after re-evaluation of collection(s)

application model doesn’t retain the data points as the systems falls out by using a limiting collection or “Not in” logic or have to clear the logic for a failed deployment.

Once the systems fall out of the collection we lose the ability to pull reports on them.

This same method works with the package deployment reports, using a limiting or “not in” logic the data points remains even after the system fall out of the collection.

is there a table that can be create leverage to capture historical data to make a custom report for application deployment for collections…

  12. Ability to Export Task Sequence (TS) for Documentation Purposes in Friendly Format

It would incredibly useful to have a native ability in ConfigMgr to export a task sequence into an easily viewed format that can be utilised as part of design documentation for customers. Either into an Excel spreadsheet with appropriate formatting or possibly html.

The alternative to this is complex Excel spreadsheets which are very time consuming or using unsupported export methods such as those described in this TechNet blog post: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/deploymentguys/2009/02/20/documenting-your-task-sequences-automagically-update-v2/

I know quite a few consultants who would absolutely love to see this feature added to save a lot of time and effort which could otherwise be utilised doing…

  13. Manage the reports Subscription

When you have many users and also many subscriptions on reports, you have an anarchy view of reports subscription .

Does it possible to add the feature )> create folders for manage the reports on server ?
    Like this for exemple

    http:\servername\reports\ (Subscriptions Folder)

We must open each reports with the same function (same title) to do some modifications.

  14. Create "Missing Updates" overview and detail report to help us patch all the things with all the patches

I'd love to see two new reports added to help systems managers ensure they patch all the things with all the patches.

The overview report should be filterable by Collection and include Client Name, Last Scan Time, Total Missing Updates, and then totals for each Update Classification.

The detail report should have the same filters as Compliance 5 except it should NOT have the Update Class field (If you add that, people will still just deploy only some updates, which is not the point of this report). The columns should be the same data as Compliance 5, but only return…

  15. SCCM Report - Easy way to create Report & Dashboard

Not really easy to create some SCCM report or Dashboard if your're not a SQL DBA .. even with Report Builder.
Could be awesome to have a new tool where Reports or Dashbaord could be created easily whithout searching which SQL views I need ..ect ... Like some others concurrent application give.

  16. Link the Statistics to a report.

Link the Statistics to a report. Like required is 100, it should link to a report showing the 100 machines.
    examples:
It should show for Compliant, required, not required and Unknown.
For Windows updates and Windows 10 servicing upgrades.
Windows 10 servicing should link to reports showing the computer numbers.

  17. Seggregating SQL tables/views for SCCM Application and for Admins

1286 tables and 7153 views, makes it an extensive and difficult job for SCCM Admins to create custom reports, as herculean task for finding where needed info exits, sometime data is available in multiple table/views, makes it tough to decide. Do you think it helps to re/design table or views naming structure in such a way that, set of them are meant for SCCM application for internal purposes which we don’t user for reporting purposes, and a second set of them are meant for SCCM Admin for creating report purposes, making the naming convention and data available in later section…

  18. Option to copy dashboard / monitoring code. to be able to use in external reporting tool

Consider to implement the option to copy/export the code from a dashboard or monitoring view. this should be the SQL code, that generates the view
This would give the possibility to present the data in e.g. PowerBI, Servicenow, Cherwell etc. and at the same time remove the
requirement for SCCM console access for users with reporting requirements.
The scope could be all nodes under monitorting

At least publish the code in a knowledge base doc. it will be very usefull managing several sites

  19. Report to include memory under 4GB in a specific model

In this section of SCCM: \Monitoring\Overview\Reporting\Reports\Hardware - Memory, it would be great to be able to see all computers that have less than 4GB of RAM, based on model. For example, I want to know how many of the Dell 3440s have 2GB so I can order more RAM for them.
    Thanks!

  20. Run a powershell script when an alert is triggered to allow integration with 3rd party tools

The ability to create email subscriptions gives rudimentary notification when alerts happen. The ability to run a powershell script would open the possibility of integrating with 3rd party monitoring and notification systems. Current systems such as Solarwinds, PRTG,nagios/icinga2 and others have REST interfaces that can easily be addressed from powershell. This kind of integration would enable shops that choose not to run SCOM a way to integrate SCCM alerts into their existing monitoring set ups.

Ideally the script call would be able to pass the alert data to the script in some fashion.
