  1. export list of computers from devices

I would like to be able to go to Devices or open a collection of devices, or even from the queries section. Add whatever information I'm looking for in the "Columns to Fit" area then be able to export exactly what I have on my screen into Excel. It would make reporting so much more simple. For those small requests that managers give you.

  2. FIX: Distribution Point Usage Summary Report is Empty

    This report has no data:

Home > ConfigMgr_PS1 > Software Distribution - Content > Distribution point usage summary

Reason is the SMS_Distribution_Point_Monitoring component selects the last alphabetically stored and '*' separated MP name from registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\DP - ManagementPoints. This happens to be a management point in our untrusted DMZ forest and our production forest distribution points can not access this DMZ forest management point on port 443 due to firewall rules.

When we rearrange the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\DP - ManagementPoints value so it will reference a production forest management point as the last '*' separated entry, the distribution point usage summary…

  3. Add a report about # of current online clients

ConfigMgr 1810 has a fabulous chart about # of current online clients per on-prem MP/internet MP/CMG within the last 30 days (Monitoring -> Cloud Management --> Online clients (last 30 days)).

This chart is super useful to figure out how many computers are online /day/time.

There should be a report with the same info so you could:
    - export the chart to different formats
    - schedule the report to run every 30 days to get longer trends about client usage

  4. Report to output the content of a TS and the descriptions for easy documention

Most places i have worked have wanted the task sequence documented. It would be great if we had a report that would output the task sequence with all the steps and the comments fields.

  5. Snap to grid

It would be so handy to have a "View Grid" option in the Report Builder design view with a "Snap to grid" feature. This will make designing the reports so much easier to align objects and text boxes etc.

  6. State messages should be time stamped in the GUI

When I look at the reporting, I'm of course especially interested in the errors.
If there appears to be a structural problem, then a solution is developed and implemented.
However - unless it's a change in the revision of an application - there is no clear way to distinguish between errors from before and after the change.

  7. Add columns for created by/date and modified by/date to queries node view

Add date created, date modified and created\modified by columns to the queries node view. Also, enable searching sub-folders from the queries node.

  8. Add LastBootupTime to "Software updates - Compliance by computer" report

The "Software updates - Compliance by computer" sub-report is an easy way to see which computers have failed updates.

Updates often are in a "failed" state because the computer hasn't been restarted recently.

Therefore, adding the last time the computer restarted to the report would make it easy to quickly identify if that is the likely cause of failing updates.

(Additionally, adding "primary user" to the report would be appreciated.)

  9. Windows AutoPilot Device Information (TP 1802)

It would be great if we could be a little more granular with this report and target it at a specific collection. I appreciate we can't add the device name into the report as it takes away the export to csv functionality but targeting a collection would help us more easily identify which machines we are importing into AutoPilot.

  10. Need Client Data Sources reports that provide more detail than the Client Data Sources Dashboard

Ability to show client data sources used on specific deployments in Reporting would be very helpful. The Client Data Sources dashboard does not prove the granularity I'm looking for.

  11. Installed monitors report

My idea would be for the SCCM team to create a report that collects the monitors installed on the PCs. The report would contain: PC name, last user logged on, last date when somebody logged on, Diagonal Size, Current Resolution, Max Supported Resolution, Monitor Manufacturer, Model, S/N of monitor, Date of manufacture.

Location of report would be : Monitoring --> Reporting --> Reports --> Hardware - Monitors or create the report under the Hardware - Video Card.

Currently there is no such report.......
Please Microsoft SCCM team, make our lives easier :)

You are doing a fantastic job to hear…

  12. Expand Software Inventory to include Office 365 Add-ins

Right now we have to use Office Telemetry to determine what Office 365 Add-ins are being used in our environment. We have a need to report on what add-ins are being used and to also be able to notify users who are using unapproved add-ins.

Please add Office-addins as an additional class of software inventory in CM.

Using Office Telemetry is overkill and the current process is very tedious. We are currently investigating the Git-Hub Get-OfficeAddins but feel that this level of inventory collection should be native to CM. In addition to collecting the add-in inventory data, some reports to…

  14. Report for all administrative actions

It would be nice to have a report to list all administrative actions performed by admins in a CM site. A report similar to "Administration activity log", but not limited to changes in the administrative roles section.

  15. SCCM Reports - Option to create Favorites

It would be a nice option to create favorites of ConfigMgr-Reports. There are over 500 built-in reports and many admins are spends a lot of time for searching.

    For Exampe:

  16. DataWarehouse reports - Filter Software Updates Compliance on a SUG

Currently a computer seems to be marked as non-compliant if at least one update is missing in the DW tables. There are loads of reasons why this may be justified. The DW reports would be much better if we could filter on a SUG as that would be more meaningful for end users

  17. Copy Query

In the Reports area, there is a query area. It would be nice if we could copy a query. We have not found a good way of doing this.

  18. Expand Software Tag inventory to include optional elements

Some software vendors include optional elements that are not gathered by the Asset Intelligence Software Tag Inventory. Adobe for example places the serial number in this section, and without being able to gather that serial number its impossible to tell what version of Acrobat is installed on a PC without writing convoluted scripts/CIs. Please expand the software tag inventory scan to include optional elements. Example of an Adobe software tag below

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <swid:software_identification_tag xsi:schemaLocation="http://standards.iso.org/iso/19770/-2/2008/schema.xsd software_identification_tag.xsd"

    <!--Mandatory Identity elements -->

  19. Application deployment reporting - Report to retain data after re-evaluation of collection(s)

application model doesn’t retain the data points as the systems falls out by using a limiting collection or “Not in” logic or have to clear the logic for a failed deployment.

Once the systems fall out of the collection we lose the ability to pull reports on them.

This same method works with the package deployment reports, using a limiting or “not in” logic the data points remains even after the system fall out of the collection.

is there a table that can be create leverage to capture historical data to make a custom report for application deployment for collections…

  20. Ability to Export Task Sequence (TS) for Documentation Purposes in Friendly Format

It would incredibly useful to have a native ability in ConfigMgr to export a task sequence into an easily viewed format that can be utilised as part of design documentation for customers. Either into an Excel spreadsheet with appropriate formatting or possibly html.

The alternative to this is complex Excel spreadsheets which are very time consuming or using unsupported export methods such as those described in this TechNet blog post: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/deploymentguys/2009/02/20/documenting-your-task-sequences-automagically-update-v2/

I know quite a few consultants who would absolutely love to see this feature added to save a lot of time and effort which could otherwise be utilised doing…
