  1. Export collection members

Exporting member of collection to excel sheet is though easy but for large number or members (say more than 20K), it takes time to get them exported in the excel. MS should put the 2007 feature back which was just right click on collection and "Export Objects".

  3. Add computer model as a column

Can you add ā€œcomputer modelā€ as a column option for devices. When looking at devices, that seems to be the only field missing when we are trying to sort by things such as OS, computer name, etc. Can you also add a way for us to rename or mask these models. For example, when we look at Lenovo models we get what looks like a serial number instead of T480s. Having the ability to update that model number to an actual name will help. Thanks.

  4. Allow filtering to all-subfolders when browser for packages/applications during a task sequence.

When you browse for packages or applications to add to a Task Sequence, you can only filter to the current folder. When you have a massive folder structure with hundreds or thousands of packages/applications you have to browse for a while to find what you need. If you could change the filter to be all subfolders, it would resolve this issue perfectly!

  5. Enable and Disable task sequence steps by right clicking in the tree

I think having the option to right click and disable\enable a step would be much easier than going to the options tab

  6. Improve console communication and security to site server

To use the console you need to open up the RPC dynamic port range as the SMS provider is using WMI.

Isn't it time to move to a more secure communication method which allows the reduction in open ports to the site server?

  7. Increase block size for pulse mode (distribution point rate limit)

Using pulse mode rate limit on a distribution point can enable a 2Mbps bandwidth cap. This is useful and it would be great if the block size limit of 256KB be increased to support higher thresholds.

  8. Add an address bar to the "Browse Registry" window when creating registry based detection methods

Add an address bar like regedit has on Windows 10 to the registry browser when creating detection methods for applications. Currently you have to drill down to the registry location that you need every time you open the registry browser.

Also, if the address bar could have a dropdown of "favorites" or "most used" locations, that would save a lot of time when creating applications.

  9. Columns with numbers should sort using natural, not alphanumeric order.

When sorting by a column with numbers, can you please make the console sort correctly and not just on the first digit? Currently I see 99, 94, 92, 909, 9085, 90, 9, 9, 9, 8852, 8771.......... and that is not very useful.

  10. Add additional information on CMG Monitoring

The CMG dashboard needs to be developed further to see which clients are using it and what content they have downloaded. In addition, we should be able to see how much we are being charged for this to enable us make a decision on whether we add additional content or prevent further download of content already in the CMG

Dashboard is a screenshot, not enough and shouldn't be considered 'Monitoring'. I know this is a new concept but i believe as this becomes more widely used, there will be a greater demand for this

  11. Reporting for viewing Active Console Connections

In 1602 the v_CMConsoleUsage view was added so Administrators can report Connected Console Information (https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/configmgrdogs/2016/09/12/view-connected-configuration-manager-console-information/).

This view is updated when someone opens the console but there is no record on whether it is still active or when it is closed making the reporting less useful. Another column should be added for ConsoleEndTime that is updated when the console connection is closed.

  12. Incorporate VAMT into console

Being able to right click a device and see and manage key types and activations would be very helpful when rolling out SCCM and KMS into a large existing environment full of OEM editions.

  13. Resultant set of Client Settings should show what policy set the page

If you use several custom client settings, it can be difficult to piece together which one was controlling the actual resultant settings. Add a column on the right which shows the name and priority of the policy that controlled the page (or all that contributed to it for things that are merged... when you get to doing this for antimalware policies)

  14. Allow the opening of multiple objects and sub object from a single console.

If I want to open two applications and their correlating Deployment types, I have to open two consoles. Can;t we just allow a single instance to do this?

  16. There is a possibility that SCCM does in Azure Backup.

With more integrated Azure services within SCCM, you could have a Azure Backup integration, creating your blob, which you can do a local copy (cache) and then send to Azure Backup, the status you can follow in the console of the SCCM and have the option to generate alert via e-mail.
Of course in addition to the option of Backup is very important to have the option of Restore.

  17. Integrate Announcement Settings

Integrate Annoucement settings to the console like the product Cireson Configuration Manager Ticker app. Send schedule or as soon as possible notification directly for user's display.

  19. Quick view devices that require an update from the Software Library

At the moment there is no quick way to see which particular machines require an update. You can run a report from Monitoring, but that means identifying the update then going back to reports and running the appropriate report.

You can however see the the number of devices that require an update when looking at that particular update. A simple "More Details" button here would be useful which would show the machines that require the update or are compliant etc, without needing to run a report.

This applies to both Software Updates and Windows 10 Updates for feature updates.

  20. Enable url-like shortcuts to nodes in the console (ie. deployment saved searches)

I check up on deployments every few hours, would love to be able to create a shortcut on my desktop to "Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.exe \Monitoring\Searches\Search99"
