  1. Task sequence media - compute space does not consider removed applications/packages

When creating stand-alone media you have the option to select which Applications,Packages and driver packages it should include onto the media or not. After clicking next on the summary page the process of starting the media launches. in the createTSMedia.log you can see that at some point the process starts to compute volume layout. It seems that the compute of the volume layout does take into account the software you selected to not be on the media. Therefore you might get the message that you do not have enough space on the USBFD media altough this is not trough. Atā€¦

  2. Display Computers in a collection using the FQDN ( Resource Names) , currently only displays NetBIOS names.

In the SCCM Console, computers in a collections only display netBIOS name, would be helpful if we could add a column to display the computers FQDN. Our SCCM manages multiple domains and this would help when search and adding specific computers to a deployment collection

  3. Allow Boolean Parameter Types in RunScripts

The addition of Parameters to Scripts was a welcome feature however it'd be nice to also support the boolean parameter type. While other parameter types (arrays, switch, etc.) would be helpful, I feel that most of them could be reproduced (smartly) by using String, or Boolean for most situations.

  4. Show/Use device IP-address from NotificationAgent update in Console

In VPN scenarios the DNS resolution is missing or delayed very often. To troubleshoot a device the current device IP-address is important.
You can force a DDR /heartbeat from the console, but this take a while until the information is arrived and actually it is unnecessary because the IP-address Information is already existing in the SCCM database from the NotificationAgent update cycle.
    (SELECT v_GS_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGURATION.ResourceID, v_GS_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGURATION.IPAddress0, vSMS_R_SYSTEM.Netbios_Name0
    FROM v_GS_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGURATION
    inner join vSMS_R_SYSTEM on v_GS_NETWORK_ADAPTER_CONFIGURATION.ResourceID = vSMS_R_SYSTEM.ItemKey
    where vSMS_R_SYSTEM.Netbios_Name0 = 'DEVICENAME')

It would be nice to get the Information directly in the console. And it would be nice as well, when theā€¦

  5. Add "Software Updates Scan Cycle" to the Client Notification Menu

I'm not sure whether the "Evaluate Software Update Deployments" Client Notificaction runs a previous scan cycle.
I implemented a Powershell script to do that but I strongly think that it should appear as a Client Notification in the same way it appears in the "Config Manager" Control Panel at the client computers.

  8. Be nice to see the logged in account at the top next to the site information

Sometimes we open multiple consoles on one computer to things such as confirm Role Base access is working correctly or compare other items. Be great when doing a run as to launch the console we can differentiate between the two instances.

  9. Device List - temporarily pin devices

During any week there may be one or more workstations or other devices that are getting special scrutiny. I would be handy to be able to pin some to the area above the list of devices (to a toolbar?).
    Thanks heaps.

  10. Quick Tasks - perform tasks that GP Preferences can't.

Include some extended task based functionality to improve group policy. For example, Group policy preferences can create a shortcut. SCCM should be able to create a shortcut that can run with elevated privileges - or run a list of tasks with different elevation levels.
    Thanks heaps.

  11. Device Properties - Tab for Collection Membership

Tab for collection Membership in device properties will be time saving .
It is painful to check the membership of the device.

  12. Add computer model as a column

Can you add ā€œcomputer modelā€ as a column option for devices. When looking at devices, that seems to be the only field missing when we are trying to sort by things such as OS, computer name, etc. Can you also add a way for us to rename or mask these models. For example, when we look at Lenovo models we get what looks like a serial number instead of T480s. Having the ability to update that model number to an actual name will help. Thanks.

  13. Make Comments/Description a default column in Applications/Packages

Whenever the Admin console is updated, the column fields for standard viewing are reset. Please make the Comments and Description (where applicable) one of the default columns in every view. This is especially useful in the Software Library\Applications and Software Library\Packages sections. In a large enterprise environment with multiple technicians working in the console, this is very helpful to keep them all reading the necessary comments where applicable.

  14. Would like for a Configuration Manager Console package to be created automatically on site upgrade

Would like for a Configuration Manager Console package to be created automatically on site upgrade as is done with the Configuration Manager Client package. The use case is for deploying the admin console to new operators. Instead of having to manually create an admin console package and update it after each site upgrade, SCCM could automatically create and update this package.

  15. SCCM Scripts: column for Security Scope in Scripts pane

You can set security scopes on Scripts, but you can't see the security scope from the pane - there is no option to add the column to the view.

  16. recover deleted objects

Allow us a way to recover objects deleted from the console. Basically a recover/undelete function for all objects deleted from the console.

    Thanks!

  17. Admins should be able to force systems to checkin without being admins on the systems

I am a full administrator on the console, but we are connected to multiple domains but my account is not an admin in all of the domains. As a program/software updates installs under the user context that is defined for each of the domains, I should be able to push a system check in to have a computer install a client, run a hardware check in, etc., under my admin account in the console without logging in with an administrator account in each domain.

  18. Push Task Sequences that start immediately

Right click on any device or device collection and start a task sequence on that device/collection without the need to be at the computer(s)

The push should start the task sequence immediately.

Can we get a visual indicator for task sequences, displaying the distribution status of all dependencies/applications?

    Updating status to Noted.

In the Task Sequence view there’s a ‘References’ tab. That shows all the statically referenced packages, applications, OS images, driver packages etc. and the distribution status.

There’s a column ‘Targeted’ which is the number of distribution points used for the package/app. The ‘Compliance’ column indicates distribution status. Each column can be sorted for quick indication of distribution status.

For each item in this list you can right click to select ‘View Content Status’ if you require granular detail.

Does that meet your requirements? If not, please let us know.

  20. Integrate a type of Feedback hub into SCCM as a right click option

It would be nice to have the option to right click on any machine or group of machines, select feedback and a pop up message would appear on client's machine indication to fill out form to provide feedback. This would help with test users. The pilot groups that get security/software updates or a new application push. Tracking those users to provide feedback is hard enough but easier if this option was managed or made available through SCCM.
